I should first qualify what I scan and why. I do mainly film negatives so I can access them on a PC or other digital means. I am going through the process of scanning all the older negs that I have. That means I want to scan many frames at a time.
I use an Epson V800 with the V750 35mm negative holder which holds 4 strips of six 35mm film. That's 24 frames in one scan.
I also have a Nikon Coolscan IV when the need for better quality scan arises.
Software is Vuescan for both.
