experimenting on my own (slow) pace, but narrowed down to TriX or TMax for 400, and TMax for 100.

Fuji Neopan 400, Rollei Retro 100, after I finished my box of RR 100 I'll give Adox CHS 100 a try.

The most used film is not in the poll...
+1. I voted FP4+ since it is the film I have used the most in the past, though I have chosen Tri-X for my one camera, one lens, one year project. Sorry but any poll not including Tri-X in a poll of popular films is a "defective" poll. Plus-X is also missing.

Why were Tri-X and the various Neopans left out from this poll?

My vote would have gone to Fuji Acros, if it were listed.

I selected FP4 and TMY400, which is on the list and I often 'used', but now a days I stick to Arista Premium 400 mainly because it is cost effective and with my own film development the cost is almost negligible. On my Bronica 645 I use TMY400 and for Crown 4x5 I use FP4. Sticking to a few films makes life easy.

Tri-X is my goto film (Arista Premium), works great from 400-6400, though I only push to 3200 at most these days since I have faster lenses now. I use Acros for slower work, and Efke 25 for super slow. I have rolls of other filmstock, but those are the ones I rely on mostly, and, they all develop wonderfully in rodinal

I've been trying to standardize the B&W films I'm shooting, but have been experimenting a lot. Right now I'd say the following:
For 35mm:
Acros 100 (1:100 Stand Develop in Rodinal)
TMAX 400 (in Ilford DD-X)
TMAX 3200 (in Ilford DD-X)
I also shoot Ektar 100 and Portra 400NC.
I'm getting ready to give TMAX 100 another try. The more I shoot it, the more I like TMAX. I am also getting ready to revisit slide film, I haven't shot it much since the late 80's, and I never gave the film type (other than shooting Kodak) any thought back then.
In 120 I shoot mostly Ektar 100, but tend to follow my 35mm choices (except obviously the TMAX 3200 which isn't available).
In 4x5 I love FP-4+.

I love ilford xp2 (in a platonic way). But I am considering doing tri-x with rodinal & stand development.
