What gear are you lusting after at the moment?

I don't think I knew the M3 has 135mm framelines. Ok, I want one of those! 😀

So I guess you're singing...

"See the luck I've had can make a good man turn bad; so please please please, let me let me let me, let me get what I want this time... "

😀

trying to decide between a hexar af, contax g1 or a bessa r2a....decisions, decisions 🙄

If you're got the coin Mae, you can run down to Downtown Camera and ask them for the Contax G2 that they have in the used dept. It's got the 21, 28, 45 and 90mm lenses 🙂

Fuelling lust,
Dave

BackAlley why is the 40 better than the 35?

zack,

not better...

the cl has 40mm framelines which just makes life a bit easier.
the 40 is fast and sharp and i like it.

the cl is perfect for the 28/40 combo, especially since i think the cv 40 is a long 40 (like really a 43 or so)

Oh my, I smell another fire sale on the horizon.

i have nothing else to sell...although you guys have me thinking about the 28/1.8 instead of the 3.5.
i saw one at the local camera mart here in town and it's not all that big. i'm kinda wishing for another deep discount like they had on the hex 90/2.8.

the 3.5 is at the post office but i can't pick it up till tomorrow.

Yeah, the 28/1.8 is very reasonable in size. Not a pocket setup (unless you have very large pockets), but definitely not overly large. Very balanced on the M6 and I was surprised when I put it on my CL that it definitely did not look like a tail-wagging-the-dog scenario. You know you want one, Joe... 😉 Besides, it would make such a nice combo with that Nokton 40 you already have...

if one comes along at a good price, for now i will have the 3.5 to play with.

I am not sure yet what to want next, but it will be a lens and not a camera most likely. Maybe a 75mm/1.4 lens if I find one that is slightly damaged and more affordable. The other lens I want is a Canon 25mm lens.

I would sort of like a wide angle lens for my M3. If I understand correctly I think I am limited to a 35mm with "goggles" if I want to go this route. It must be a Leica lens.

This is like wishing for unicorns, of course.

In more realistic territory I could use a tiny pocketable digital camera since neither Nikon I currently own fits that bill.

I don't need anything though. I can hardly complain about what I have.

GAS is gone. Nothing. Problem is I have enough for more than one photographer. My skill is less than the lenses I already have.
