Pretty harsh comments about this guy here and I'm disappointed. He is obviously a little off balance and may be Asperger inclined or some other manifestation of a mental condition. His behaviour is not normal lets face it ... but you people seriously need to take a deep breath and have a look inside yourselves and get over this need to dismantle anyone who doesn't meet your expectations.
We have had similar discussions about the delete function over the years. And we have lost some information because of the ability of a thread's OP to delete not only their own post but the entire thread.
Stephen and Mods, can we delete the delete button?

Keith I think there is probably some truth in what you say. I've gleaned more solid information about photography from RFF than any other single site on the web and remain grateful for the goodwill of the members of this community. Personally I am really happy to share whatever knowledge or expertise I have when I can and have tried to do so, regularly. It doesn't bother me when someone asks a lot of questions, if they're interested in learning about a particular topic or topics. Justin did that. But he demonstrated absolutely zero interest in educating himself--he expected to be spoon fed, every time he wanted information. Surely, you have to admit that it is not very easy to stay motivated when trying to educate a person, who is exhibiting absolutely zero interest in educating themself?Pretty harsh comments about this guy here and I'm disappointed. Dear Keith,
A lot of us tried to help him, until he was clearly too far off balance.
"Asperger's" is not necessarily an excuse. There comes a point when we (politely) lose patience,
Cheers,
R.

Agreed, but it is an issue shared by many people and there's a point I learnt about letting things go. Sometimes we try to put more passion that others do not reciprocate. But he demonstrated absolutely zero interest in educating himself--he expected to be spoon fed, every time he wanted information. We may have very well seen an example of a "Little Emperor" phenomenon. That's what I instantly thought when I felt there was a rather over abundant perception about money.More likely affluenza than a mental condition but your point is well conceived.
How many teens do we know who can spend $1000 a month on old cameras.
He was pretty close to that number.

Dear Robert,I'm with Keith here. I fully understand the disappointment by people who helped him with suggestions which probably have been ignored.
But sometimes in a community, and in my opinion RFF is a community, an excellent community someone "off balance" can be tolerated and in the long run also provide ideas...maybe...

Here's his response to my post on the Large Format Forum.
Perhaps for someone who is so unimpressed by him, maybe you should consider leaving him alone on other forums. Just a thought.
