What happened to my "girls in camera shirts thread"...it's gone/deleted/vanished

Last night I posted a photo on the thread "girls in camera shirts" and now I can't find a trace of the thread anywhere....not in my "threads started" or "recent posts"....can mods or anybody else inform me on what happened to it....cheers, michael

i was avoiding posting my thoughts in your thread, but since it has been deleted i'll go ahead and post them...
it was sexist and offensive. i'm glad it was deleted.

That is kind of odd that it was taken down. Unless I missed something there was nothing there that called for it to be pulled. Interesting.

Well, it may have also been moved. That does happen from time to time. Unless it really was offensive and/or tasteless, but as I didn't see it I can comment in that regard.

Maybe the mods took note from the recent ruling in Italy on the Google execs. Don't want to get convicted of far flung offenses they didn't commit.

The original post was just photos of Thai girls in t-shirts with cameras on the shirts. The problem was the other men in the thread acted like they were in a titty bar, when RFF is more of a photo club. LOL!

White Knight saves woman of the world from sexist and offensive RFF members.
Said members jailed for hate crimes.
White Knight awarded 99 virgins.

How can posting pictures of models in shirts with camera prints on them be either sexist or offensive? How the hell is that possible?

I can't stand censorship, and I can't stand nannying do gooder attitudes. Women like sex as much as men, and those girls were models who chose to be in those pictures. They were not nude, they were not being degraded at all. If I posted a thread of some male models wearing camera print t-shirts and underwear no one would find it inappropriate or "sexist", though surely it would be less popular.

Just the fact that people can find it somehow offensive is sexist in it's own right.

My girlfriend, who is a smart and attractive young woman currently undertaking a university subject on the history of gender roles was looking through the thread with me, enjoying the pictures, and she did not once imply that it was sexist or inappropriate or degrading.

Go Figure.

Quite good photos, too. Sexist, perhaps, as there was no men in camera T-shirts to counterbalance, nor would there ever be. Fashion-oriented photography, in my opinion, is in its essence sexist.

thanks for the replies......first let me say sorry if I offended ANYBODY here, regardless of sex...That was not my intention at all.........

I am not really sure what happened to the thread after I went to bed last night and I hope that people did not post offensive/lewd/sexist comments about the photos, that would be a shame....

I run across those camera shirts all the time here in Bangkok and I purchase them for my gf to wear. They don't have large sizes or I would purchase them for myself as well. I started to get quite a collection of them and I wanted to do something with them cool, so I decided to get some of my friends and my gf to model them for me....

I also got some studio lights around the same time that I started that thread and it was a fun and challenging project....challenging in the sense that I don't usually work in a studio with lights and models...

Oh well, I guess something went wrong with the thread last night and that is why it got deleted.....

Once again, sorry if I offended anybody here

I do recall a "post your nudes" thread not so long ago here...not so sure whatever happened to that thread, but I would like to think that we here at rff, can behave ourselves and act in a respectable manner to everybody, regardless of sex or whatever else......

Maybe it's better that I didn't see what people posted on my thread.....oh well....life goes on.....
cheers, michael

its interesting how few people seem to bother to read the RFF forums rules and FAQ

Rule No. 4 - No "Offensive" Posts, Links or Images
4) You will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, or otherwise violative of any local or international laws. This includes links in your signature, profile, bookmarks as well as posted images, photos and avatars. Staff will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not.

The problem with the thread was the sexist attitudes about the pics.

That is not what RFF is about.
