What have you just BOUGHT?

Just bought an Incase Ari Marcopoulos sling bag and 52mm ND filter for my Nikon F3. Tempted to get the OM-D but held back...

Yet another Kiev--the fifth, its predecessors all having developed terminal shutter or rangefinder problems.

But I've an occasional (largely inexplicable) weakness for the eccentric handling and feel, and like the lenses a lot.

But how long will this one last?

Regards,
D.

Ten rolls of Tri-X so I can be ready when my new grand daughter comes into the world in a couple of weeks or more (or less...).

Koniflex with all the fixins

Koniflex with all the fixins

Each day I check my mail to see if Shintaro will get me my M2 on the day he tells me. I am resigned that we will make it to January and the 2 year mark.

So, I found myself a new toy online. A Koniflex II TLR. Complete set. And, despite the blurry auction pictures, it is immaculate. And there was a roll of Fuji HR100 inside. hahah.

That's case, flex, konihood, konifilter, cap, and hood/filter case. Only in Japan. Timing is off, so CLA...

I just received my Olympus OM-D. I'm learning the settings and setting it up to avoid the usual frustration of trying to figure it out in the field. I also recently picked up a military spec. 1944 Kodak Medalist and a 1937 Beier Rifax. Both cameras were in amazingly good condition, fully functioning and the lenses were most amazingly scratch and haze free. Not even the usual cleaning marks.

According to my wife, I'm done buying camera gear now, ... but I do need accessories for the OM-D.

Minolta Hi Matic E. Won in an auction and will be posted to me tomorrow and might even be here for the weekend .... :) It looks to be in perfect condition and seems to work despite the owner knowing not too much about cameras ... oh yeah it's a black one.

Dropped in on one my regular Tokyo camera stores last night. As I was about to leave I noticed colourful containers that looked oddly like 35mm film containers. I picked up one and, to my surprise, they were, indeed, film cases!

I bought the shop's entire supply. The shop worker and a couple of customers were beside themselves with amusement as to why anyone would buy boxes of these things.

These things are great. The lid flips up, as shown, and also has the word *Fujichrome". I never even knew that these things existed until last night. Might flog off some of these on ebay.

Why not offer them in the classifieds here?

Within last week, two meters; one very electronic Sekonic L-308B (small wonder that fits in the palm) and an old Sekonic Leader L-38 (takes reflected light and incident light readings... the latter with a booster, and it's encased in METAL!).

Needless to say, I'm quite happy. :) In a quiet, discrete way... ;)

"On the 6th day of Hanukkah, my eBay gave to me..."

Xe1 & 35 1.4
Metabones Contax G adapter
Ltm adapter
M adapter

...and a latke in a fig tree

M6 TTL .85 and
Summicron 90 from 1959.
Since all the rest seems to be worshiping the rosy putto of very special offers I thought I might prefer something more substantial.

Always wanted a leather half case for my M3. But they are all too fat and stiff for my liking. Finally found what I like: an A&A super soft and thin lambskin half case for my M3. Now I still feel "close" to the body.

Goes nice with my Black Bag super soft leather strap.

Yes, that's my favorite too! Gives the M a wonderful feel.
