Not bought, but acquired... my wife got back from California, and brought her late father's two cameras, a non-functional Minolta SR-1 in pretty rough shape, and this immaculate X-700 with f1.7/50mm lens. She used it during college, and obviously took great care of it (bottom plate plastic cover is still on). She wants me to use it. Very sweet camera.

Almost done with my first roll.

Wow. Now I that see it in a list format, this seems a pretty ridiculous. I spent most of the week with my browser opened to Ebay and used gear forums. I guess you could say that I was "in the zone." It was an incredibly exciting week. 85% of it is still in the mail. This week... drool... none of my friends will be seeing me this week. Except for one friend - he'll be seeing me a lot... I had EVERYTHING shipped to his house. Hahah. It's gear testing/ play time!

I have just bought a couple SLR cameras, a Nikon F3P, and a Minolta X1. I bought the most beat-up and ugly examples I could find, as I want to be able to shoot them without worrying about scratching them. And ugly cameras are cheap...

Added a 28mm Topaz lens f2.8 for my rescued Minoltas..The lens a princely sum of $5. The SLR with original 50mm f1.7was $20. Batteries not included!
The one Minolta has a damaged focus screen but very usable.Has 45mmf2.0.
The body is black. Also $20

I missed selling my previous IIIf's a few years ago, that I just had to get another. I'd forgotten just how small, compact and nice to hold these old Barnacks were. Even slimmer than my M2!

Just back from a CLA, so I've just got to load a roll of film and I'm good to go.... :D

VC Leica-M-to-Micro-4/3 adapter. Well-made and wobble-free, I'm just a little disappointed that it lets the mounted lens focus slightly past infinity.
