What have you just BOUGHT?

Just made a gentleman's agreement to purchase this incredibly fine 1972 Mercedes-Benz 220D. Fewer leaks, fewer rust spots than my current 1978 300D and this one has a manual transmission!

Sweeeeeet. Need to see the engine and some interrior "full monte" shots!

At the local flea market I bought a nice clean Nikon N6006 with a Tamron 28-70 zoom for $9 and nice Kodak Tourist II (that just needed a quick CLA) for $7. Late day Sunday is the best time to get deals.

A Sony NEX-VG30 to record videos of live music performances, audio recording being my no. 1 preoccupation. The camera is like an NEX-5r, with much bigger batteries, unlimited recording times with no chance of overheating, and a built-in electronic viewfinder.

Canon AE-1 Program with FD 70-150mm 4.5 and Sigma 35-70mm 2.8-4.0 for euros 20 at a flea market in Arles. All working well after new battery!

I also just picked up a Canon AE-1 Program with an FD 50 1.8, Vivitar 70-210 zoom, flash and camera bag. Purchased at a flea market for $15. I put in a battery and it works despite having the Canon "wheeze" (it's not quite a squeal yet). I haven't yet decided whether to keep it or to sell it.

I picked up a cheap but in good condition Kodak Brownie Flash that I intend to do a little modding on, including flipping the lens and Dremeling out the film bays to allow 120 to work easier in it. Don't tell the vintage camera gods I am doing that. Thanks.

I just picked up a complete Nikonos IV A kit, 28, 35, strobe, CU kit , bags etc. on Craig's List. All it needed was fresh batteries! I thought $80 was a good deal.
Very robust body and the shutter sound is amazing.

Went to the flea market and bought a Gralab timer for $2 and an Argus C20 with frozen focus for $3. The timer works great but the Argus is hopeless.

A funny thing has been happening. Swore I'd never buy a 35mm and my experience with them is fairly limited though I've been in photography since the mid 50's. A little over a week ago I got lustful for a Fujica Compact Deluxe in mint condition I found as a donation for a auction.

Today in my box of junk I found an Argus C3 again in very good condition and working. I forgot I had it. A couple of years ago I had found some old 35mm film and was talking to my friend, camera technician and a guy I usually hire as a second shooter for weddings. Anyhow he dug around in his junk box and tossed me the C3 and said use this.
Well today I refound it and called Hal and said I'd bring it by . He informed me that he had given it to me anyway and keep it. So it looks like I'm going to start a weird rangefinder collection.
Looks like it's pretty easy to get the other lenses for the C3 so will be doing that and maybe the flash.
