What have you just BOUGHT?

another Think Tank Photo "Mirrorless Mover 30i" bag *

* I bought one of these for the A7 and Leica R lenses a couple of weeks ago. It is excellent, so much so that I bought a second for the Olympus E-M1. Much better than my other bags for this this form-factor equipment.

I just got the shipping confirmation for my brand new Canon EOS 6D. :D

It's the first full frame digital that I'll own. I'm upgrading from an old EOS 450D from 2008, so you can imagine it's an upgrade. As much as I like my cute little EOS M, I really wanted a full frame DSLR as well.

I've been spoiled rotten by the Nikon F5, so I decided that only a full frame will do. Well, then you're not left with too many options. With a 5D3 being way too much camera for my needs, I opted for a 6D so I can use my existing glass (Shorty Forty, Nifty Fifty, Samyang fisheye, Sigma 70-300).

So tomorrow… we'll be reading manuals all day, waiting for the postman to arrive.

My latest purchases:

A Metascoflex, second version. It is an interesting early 1950's version of a Rolleicord in near mint condition.

A Leitz A36 light green filter that was still in it's sealed packaging dated 1951.

A Mercury II that appeared to be in poor condition but cleaned up and is working well. I thought I would polish it after having revived this camera and discovered that no matter how well the body is polished, The alloy will start to tarnish overnight.

In transit from beautiful British Columbia, a hefty little piece of glass. - Voigtlander 50mm f1.1

And in the batter's box. An order to FreeStyle for some fresh 35mm and 120 BW film.

I sold the D90 + lenses that I haven't touched for 2+ years and bought this :

I don't do much digital but still I wanted a good pocketable camera to carry with me everywhere.

Couldn't be more stoked.

An Olympus Ace! :)

But with no lenses :(

I received the Ace. The body is in lovely condition, and the shutter fires beautifully. I wasn't quite right about the lenses. There's a 35mm lens with it. At least, I think it's all there. I might ask a cleverer person than I to tell me whether it's worth trying to rebuild it, or whether I have to wait patiently for some more glass. Ideally, I want the 35mm and the 80mm f4. Realistically, I might get a 35mm, and, eeeeventually, an 80mm f5.6.

And I also got a 35RD! :):):) Been wanting one for so long. And, to be perfectly honest, while the 35RC has its own charms, it isn't really a decent substitute. So my SP has a proper little brother, and the RC goes on the stack of things to sell on ebay.

Leica M3, 50mm DR and 20 rolls of Tri-X. First Leica after lusting for one for years, now I just have to wait until it all arrives and hope it can live up to the expectations.

Just arrived: Minolta "A" rangefinder circa 1955. 45mm f/3.5 Rokkor lens. 1 sec and 1/2 sec stick so it'll need a cleaning at some point. Neat camera though.

thought i was done, but one more lens for the Leica R/Sony A7 kit...

Leica Elmar-R 180mm f/4

(I have an Elmarit-R 180/2.8 series 1 ... it's simply too big to carry very often, almost three pounds. The Elmar 180/4 is a third the weight, lighter than the Elmarit-R 135/2.8, and about the same size as the 135 too.)
