Found myself on an 'Eggleston kick,' and wanted a cheap camera to shoot vivid color. Initially thought i was buying a Nikon L35AF, but in my haste to click the Purchase button, i didn't recognize that the listing was for a One Touch (L35AF2). But, i wasn't done. It had been quite a while since i had spent ANY money on gear, and my net research on the L35AF led me to interest in a Minolta Hi-Matic AF2. But, i wasn't done. That same research showed me a super cute little Canon A35F. Had to have that, as well.... I've put my vented hoods on the Canon and Minolta — saved from my early Leica/Ikon dalliances, and the new cams look sharp.
I don't think i'll bother with the Nikon, though. I hate that the flash pops up automatically in low light. The Minolta will probably be the main 'glove box' camera. The Canon has an actual rangefinder, so that's nice, but no aperture control.... I probably should have just bought a Canonet, but it was $20, and worth a play, right?
I really should have been content to use the Stylus Epic i've had for a few years, but GAS got the better of me. I've actually never processed a single roll from that little Olympus....
I have issues.
