I picked some Nikon F gear this weekend at an antique fair. Two bodies, one silver one black, each with a type B view screens. Also, one working metered viewfinder, and a type K screen. Both cameras cleaned up well and work great, and they only cost $20 each including the finder and extra screen. The seller said they belonged to a pro who became very wealthy specializing in dog and cat photos back in the late 70's. I'll be sure to take pictures of my cat with these.

Low serial, low price, Nikon F and body cap 50mm f1.4, small chip on prism and stuck film counter, but I'm a user!!
Remarkable cosmetic condition but finder abuse as usual.

Oh! and a useless C screen, but of plenty variety in the drawer.

I saw an ad on Craigslist for a massive studio equipment sale here in Toronto, including a selection of manual focus Nikkor lenses. When I went to his studio, the seller (a very fine professional photographer) and I talked for about an hour and when I expressed interest in a PC-Nikkor 35mm 3.5 Perspective Control lens, he sold it to me at an excellent price.
Not having any cash, he suggested an ATM machine in a nearby store, and insisted on giving me the lens when I left to go to the store. I was very taken with his trust after such a short time, but he replied "You are a shooter, like me, so I trust you."

Yashica Electro 35 GT. Battery adapter cobbled together and it seems to work fine other than the shutter blades not fully opening (they nearly do) so flash doesn't yet work. Not sure if exercise will help the blades or not.

Last month---Fuji 16mm 1.4, used from KEH $669

Of course, now there is a Fuji sale and the 1000 dollar lens is 800 at B&H...which, unlike KEH, doesn't charge sales tax in this state.

Bad news: in total, my used 16 cost about $75 dollars less than a new one.

Good news: It's a wonderful lens and at least it was something less! (yeah, I'm trying to put on a happy face)
