What have you just BOUGHT?

46mm R72 filter for an infrared project I've had planned for awhile.

I though I'd already ordered one but a thorough search of the study revealed I hadn't. That only means I'll find another one there eventually. But I need it now.

GDR Praktica B200 and CZJ 35/2.4 Prakticar (Flektogon) lens

I wasn't expecting as much but it's a surprisingly nice camera.
It is actually quite competitive to its Japanese contemporaries
(c. 1979) in size, modern features, apparent quality and feel.

I picked up a No.3 Folding Pocket Kodak (model G) over the weekend.

Went to a "Everything Free" sale this morning to scout a box of cameras I spotted in the ad.

Unfortunately the box was full of broken box cameras and the homeowner had them off to the side for a niece... but I talked my way into one pick from the bin.

A box set Minolta 16QT to match my MG16 kit. Why... idk

Oh and I got both a Epson 3200 and 4780 for free as well as some Ansel Adams books and a Wacom Tablet.

Pretty good score for a half hour drive.

Jupiter 3 for my IIIf. Didn't fit, so ordered a Zorki-4 to go w/ the lens. Then bought an LTM 50mm Summicron. Wasn't working; sent back & bought LTM 50mm Elmar. Then discovered I needed various accessories for that, so bought a SOOGZ filter adapter & a VALOO aperture adjusting ring. That little IIIf is turning out to be very expensive.

The Yashica 635 wanted a little brother...

Bolsey C. 35mm TLR with a split image rangefinder and a viewfinder in addition to the TLR focusing screen with magnifier. Very solid feeling camera that is put together well. Has that little jewel feeling of a Rollei 35.

At first it seemed like the film advance/frame counter was locked up but simulating rewinding the camera freed it up. Looks like it is winding fine and the shutter is good too.

The viewing lens mirror and focus screen need to be cleaned once I see how the top comes off. The viewing screen and the rangefinder don't agree. At infinity the rangefinder looks correct but the focus screen seems off. Tape on the film gate seems to confirm the rangefinder. Not sure how the TLR will be adjusted.

Kodak Signet 40

Kodak Signet 40

Dear Board,

I won this in an online auction for the price of a decent lunch. The shutter was a little sluggish below 1/50 but a drop of Ronsonol and a couple dozen cycles seemed to fix that. I hope it works as good as it looks, because it has a perfect rangefinder patch.

Lytro Illum. I have wanted one since they came out in 2014. Almost bought one too, but the $1600 pricetag kept me away. Now it sells for 1/5 the original price and is still fully supported, although the model is orphaned. I will have fun playing with it ....

Thanks Emile. The older Rolleiflexes are much better built/made but this one is a looker and a better shooter (better screen, built in semi spot meter).
