What have you just BOUGHT?

Tokina 3.5/17 (as a wide angle for my Nikons and my Sony A7II)

Rodenstock 1:1.3 56mm lens, already adapted to Fuji and Sony mirrorless. Fun lens. Call it "Dreamotar". 😉

Picked up a $210 Nikkor 8.5cm ltm. I've been curious about the lens for a long time and couldn't pass up a chance to try it at this price.

The images of it don't show the serial number but its an f/16 which sounds like its from one of the slightly earlier batches.

A new focusing screen for my Nikon Df:

Finder needs to be cleaned a little more (a little hazy) but the curtains look good and appear to be firing properly at all speeds. EDIT: Playing with it more the slow speeds are a bit odd. Sometimes they fire fine, others they fire too fast.

Besides the lever wind and back door loading a really nice feature is the shutter speed selector. Red dot is for setting shutter speed before cocking the camera. Here the camera is at 1/200 before cocking the camera.

I was not expecting to win this one on the big auction site. I guess a combination of a poor label and US only shipping kept the bids away.

It will be interesting to see how this shoots compared to my Leotax Merit.

A scratchy Summarit 5cm f/1.5

The front lens was scruffy but for the price I wasn't too bothered. filled in the rough spots with some ink. Results are surprisingly okay 🙂
