I ordered this Ruggard Dry Cabinet 120L from B&H.
They had it $229...$70 off the usual price,
It should be arriving today.
Ruggard Dry Cabinet 120L
It's about a year ago since I had to sell my Leica M5 because of a defective rangefinder that required a costly repair. Since then I kind of missed using and owning a Leica M, although I didn't use it that much - my CLE was always my favourite for actual shooting, but it lacks the charme of a "real" M.
Still, I don't need it that much that I would pay the price for a M2 (or newer) in good shape... So I came across a M1 in user condition and I got it for a low price on ebay. I know it's not the same as a Leica M with rangefinder, but I could get along quite well with zone focusing with my Minox 35 or Rollei 35. And, I like quirky cameras!
Oh, and a few weeks ago: Olympus OM-1 with 2 lenses - but that one needs repair.
Leica M1 arrived yesterday... I checked it a little bit (as I always do) and the shutter speeds are way off. So I'm not sure if I should send it back or keep it and have it repaired (or CLA'd, as it's called here). I paid less than 300 Euros for it, so it would be still reasonable for a working Leica. On the other side, the seller claimed that the shutter speeds are OK, so my expectations were disappointed a bit. Hard decision...What would you do?
Nothing... 🙁 😉
Sometimes "Nothing" is the hardest thing to do, or to buy...
