hello all, my first post.
I’ve just picked up a quite nice YashicaMat LM for a price I am very happy with. Next on my list is a Ricoh 519 which I think is the model my father had and I last saw/used in 1981 or 1982. Some darn fool threw it out the camera in the cleanup of dad’s stuff. seeking info on the ricoh rangefinder models is how I found the forum, so it’s not all bad, but still, grrr!

It's amazing how so many people cannot see the collector value/usability in their parent's cameras. Op shops, garage sales, sunday markets and even antique centres can and often do, come up with real bargains. Maybe you could try these (assuming you've been down the ebay route).

thanks David, I have been searching ebay for a while. The 519 seems uncommon. Yep will try some op shops too and there’s a weekly flea market near us. I think I may apply some percussive maintenance to my brother’s nostrils for tossing the camera out. 🙂
 
This was a busy weekend of sorts and I blame it all on craiglist.

Homemade UV printer (handles 11x14)
bostick-sullivan platnum/paladium kit
incedentals for making platinum/palladium prints (papter, brush, ect)
Epson 7800
 
I found a long lost 35mm point-and-shoot Olympus Stylus 105, which has a built-in flash and a 5.6/38-105 zoom lens. It was packed in a bag within a larger bag which was in storage for a number of years. It's brand new and today I bought a 5 dollar Ultra 123 battery. The camera seems to be working perfectly. I'll have some pictures developed and share when I am back in Vietnam.
 
A Fujinon CM/W 150mm 5.6 lens for the damn near brand new, still in the original box Cambo 45N 4x5 camera I found at the local goodwill for a whopping 8 dollars.

Very excited to finally make the 4x5 plunge. I also bought some film holders and a cambo lens board but those aren't quite as exciting as the lens/body.
 
A wonderful very cheap Canon P in "for parts" condition with missing rewind knob. The curtains are in great condition, the camera needed only a few drops of oil and a new rewind knob. I made a new one out of a piece of aluminium.

Never tried the CL, should be Loads of Fun.
I suppose a 40 summicron/40 rokkor beckons
in the meantime I will use a few of my other M lenses

Love the idea of compactness
