What have you just BOUGHT?

Got this Rolleiflex 3.5F Planar Type 3 from roughly the early-mid 1960's, more or less clean minus some minor surface paint chipping and a number lightly scratched into the side. Came with cap/strap, and working meter for just $300! The woman selling said it belonged to her uncle who used it semi-professionally. That said, I have almost pulled the trigger on a 3.5f about a dozen times over the last few years, but have always bailed at the last second after considering the price. This time around, I got as lucky as I could have asked and I couldn't be happier with price vs. condition. And I don't have to "baby" it.

Best deal of 2020 came right at the end. Sooo looking forward to putting some film through this.

A like-new Leica M246, boxed and complete with all items, at a reasonable price, from Camera West, who were great to deal with.

I didn't buy it...I got it for free:

I found a black A16H film back (horizontal 6x4.5cm format) for my Hasselblads ... I figure it makes a nice complement to the CFVII 50c digital back with a similar format proportion and size compared to the square format A12 back. It's a type II back, just like my A12 backs, and in black finish ... it'll match my black body 500CM that I use the most with the digital back. :)

Now if I could find one of those A2035 backs—at something other than $1000+, that is. LOL! Fantasy...

I just bought a Canon EOS M50 mirrorless camera with the 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 lens. I did the math and realized that I'd spend way more on a scanner, film, and chemicals than I would if I just went for a good digital camera. Should be here in a few days, looking forward to playing with it and seeing what it can do.

Yesterday my Fuji Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic arrived from B&H. It looks and feels fantastic - much nicer than I thought.

A Leica M3 made in 1963, single stroke, in perfect shape and working conditions. Even the serial number is beautiful. I bought alos from another seller a matching Elmar f2.8/50mm, made in 1960.

Just picked up the accessory grip for the 907x. When I initially bought the camera I hadn't planned on getting the grip, but after having read some reviews and about its advantages I decided to add it to the kit. Miraculously B&H had one in stock.

Micro-Nikkor 105mm VR.

Years (and YEARS) ago, I gave my brother a used specimen of the original AF-D version of this when he was going through a phase photographing rocks, and he was very good at it. Then he gave up on photography. The lens somehow ended up back with me.

He's been back at it for a few years, and after upgrading to one of the new Z bodies, gave me his old FF SLR. Been using it and the macro lens for scanning. I thought I'd pay him back the favor.

The coolest thing ever! A genuine Canon converter which allows one to mount Exakta lenses to Canon bodys with FD mount.
