What have you just BOUGHT?

Just found a new browser that can work with my old OS, so I can post again. Anyway, I recently bought a Canon Demi S half-frame camera, a Bower 34mm UV filter (probably uncoated), a 34mm snap on lens cap, a 34-37mm step-up ring and two 37mm spacer rings. These latter three things I've screwed tightly together to form a lens hood for the Demi S. I did buy a Proper 34mm lens hood but it intruded into the viewfinder a bit, so I bought the step-up ring and a 37mm slotted hood thinking it would only intrude a tiny bit more but the slot would compensate. It didn't, by comparison to the 34mm hood it was BIG so I had to go the expensive route that I did.

I had the Auto Sersorex EE some years ago - great camera and lens. The Achilles heel of that model were the cables coming out of the mirror - it had the light sensors integrated with the mirror. In mine the average metering was working well but not the spot meter. Great camera thought.

Epson Surecolor P900!

I like to have full control on my pictures: processing and printing is part of it.
My previous Epson P600 was still working but because I'm planning to produce some hand made books and zines I decided to go for a more modern and reliable (hopefully 😉 ) tool.

I do not print oft very large and the P700 (A3+) could have been good enough for my use but with a few calculations in the long run the large model will be less expensive due to the lower cost of the inks.
So far I'm satisfied with the print quality, still need to learn a little more about it to overcome some quirks 🙂
 
I bought myself a birthday present from Japan, an LTM TOPCOR-S 50mm f/2 Biotar design lens. It came with an interesting rear lens cap, a Leotax Merite. Both lens and camera are in beautiful condition.

That means the master cylinder's cups are giving up the ghost, so I ordered a new master cylinder and am waiting for that to arrive and be installed.

Oh yeah: Snapped a photo of the Fulvia dashboard with the HF Rally steering wheel fitted while I was out the other day. Compared to the original 14.5" wood rimmed wheel, it's like a go-cart steering wheel ...

Love manual transmissions. So much fun to drive. Driven a manual my entire driving life which now spans 40+ years -- oh my, doesn't anyone know how to turn back time? Well, maybe there was this one six month period with an automatic. So uneventful I always forget about it.

I further enjoyed a mild addiction to cheap Russian/Soviet lenses with a Jupiter 8 and a Jupiter 11. They are both fine lenses which resolve well. That's a lot of fun for a couple of hundred dollars. I really need more lenses as much as I need a broken leg. Hopefully I can stop now.
