What have you just BOUGHT?

I liked the negatives my last fresh roll of Ilford HP5 135-36 produced so much I just received five more rolls.

rationale: Well, after all, the 'new to me' Leica M6TTL should be here in a day or three, the Voigtländer Vito II, Vitesse, Rollei 35S, and Kodak Retina IIIcx* should be back from service soon too, the Leica IIIc is working beautifully as is the M4-2 ... a lot of hungry cameras to fill.

Yeah, I know that there's no need for a rationale. ;)

Still tossing about in my head whether I want/need another 50mm lens and which one (Thypoch Eureka or Voigtländer Heliar), I know I need another storage case or two, and I should also get another battery for the M10-R/-Monochrom as well ... Decisions, decisions!

Shirley-Wellard film winder, from the "Make me an offer" tray at a camera fair. Planned use is to get film into a FILCA cassette (on my only previous attempt I dropped the spool) but vastly cheaper than the Leica AFLOO. Complete with one of the fantastically complex S-W reloadable cassettes, which seems to fit a Retina 1 (with the rewind knob standing slightly proud) but not a Nikon F or Olympus OM-1. Not tried in a Leica, as I'm sure I read on this website that if you get one in, it'll sure as Hell never come out again.

IMG_3138.jpegJust bought yet another bag!!!! Got the Long Weekend Monterey bag - surprisingly comfortably holds my m7 with 35 nokton and a couple of spare rolls…pretty decent for those non flash jaunts

Yes, don't even 'offer up' a SW cassette to an ltm Leica, it will get drawn in by weird paranormal forces field and will resist all attempts at extraction.

i like the long weekend stuff! Moment is headquartered near me

i use the santa fe shoulder bag as an everyday carry and small camera (pen EE or LTM body) bag

Rauner and Brian will recognize this Sonnar lens and Contax II from the collectibles posts. It is a very late probably 1958-59 lens on a 1937 camera. Both work well and smoothly together, despite the separation on the 50/2 lens. The 50/1.5 lens is in good shape with no separation. All bought for best offer on the auction site. I just got my test roll back, and I am very pleased. Is substituting glass possible with these Carl ZEISS late Sonnars or is its collector value a consideration? So far it seems to be OK even wide open. Can it get worse with time and use?

Yes, I know, I already have an Nikon bag for my rangefinder cameras. But this one was in such good condition
and at such an outrageously low price that I didn't think for a moment whether it was really necessary.
I am too weak for this world.
Too late.
The order button was pressed.
The shipment arrived.
And I'm glad I did it.
And so that the bag doesn't have to travel alone from the dealer to me, I bought an 85mm Nikkor at the same time.
...............
The Leica Reporter with the 10 meter magazine was unfortunately too expensive for me to bear.

I gave up apologizing or explaining a long time ago.
When I do something, it's because I believe in it.
And if I do it because I believe in it, then it can't be wrong.
It's not about whether we need it. It's about whether we have it.

When I got my Nikon compartment case (see the separate thread about Nikon S2 compartment cases) it was included in the price of a Nikon S2 along with a Nikkor 85/2, like this. However, mine is marked with the "C" (Contax mount) -- I wonder if the original owner wondered why he got some out of focus images with that lens/camera combination.

Maybe you didn't mean it the way you wrote it, but this can cover a lot of bad behavior (to put it mildly).
