I picked up a second original 8 element Summicron when it crossed my path at a very attractive price and condition. It has such a unique signature from any 35 Summicron that came afterwards and the LLL replica doesn't truly capture it (or captures only some of it). I'm gravitating to these old, single coated circa 60's lenses. I sold a Voigtalnder 35/1.2 version 1, and some pre-war Zeiss Jena lenses in Contax mount. Both fell foul of my policy to sell what I don't honestly use in a year or so.
