Last Camera Club meet got me this stash of 127 Verichrome Pan - expired in mid 70's. At that time it was $0,59/roll. I did pay $5 for 17 rolls. It is not for me, I am giving it to a friend of mine - who has a 127 camera of some kind.
Just blown a pound or so on a white Samsung AF-Slim with a lovely set of gold (coloured) chrome buttons and trim and a white soft cover. But I keep thinking it needs a pin wrist strap and a Hallo Kitty logo...
Olympus XA + A11 flash. Cleaned the outside, popped a fresh pair of batteries in there, and we're off! There's an old film in it that had some 4 frames shot. I'll use up the rest and we'll see what happens; probably nothing but I've had some surprises that way. I haven't a clue what film is actually in there... Apparently 400asa as that was the speed set, but who knows?
Nikkormat FT2 with 50 f/1.4, 50 f/2, 105 f/2.5 the early sonnar-type. Already have the 35 f/2 and 135 f/2.8 to make a fairly complete lens set. Seems A-OK despite the age and the complete absence of the mirror-foam bumper.
Of course, I have Jon Goodman's seals/bumper kit on the way!
Wanting to spiff up my regular gear. Picked up a nice wrist strap, all bk. leather from Hong- kong, for a nice price! Looks great , feels right, Wish they had a wider range of colors.
