What have you just BOUGHT?

Decisions, decisions...

Decisions, decisions...

My car needs gas. I could save some money with self-service, but it's quite cold tonight...

Nothing for about a year now. My gear now consists of M7, 35 Summilux, 21 Skopar, and Leicavit. Liquidated other gears to partially fund election bid that I ultimately won...

Gas update

I have decided to use the self-serve on the next warm morning, on the way home from work.

An absolutely MINT black Leica M7 with engraving..which I love. Used prices are sooo good on these great cams now, compared to the new cost of $4995, I figured I'd just take the financial hit. Gotta sell a few things now, so keep an eye out in the classifieds!

Just bought a rollei 35 te, an olympus xa and a viooh viewfinder viewfinder for my fed 2 and a zorki 4 that I'm still waiting on.
Also just sent payment for the repairs on my yashica lynx 14.

Why? ...all necessities. :)

90mm TE F2.8 from another RFF'er
90mm Elmar-C from Ebay
Sekonic L-208 from Ebay
1.25x viewfinder magnifier from HKSupplies
Sync cover for my M2 from tonaya

First P&S digitial...

First P&S digitial...

Awaiting a Ricoh GRDIII from Adorama, and looking foward to using the "snap" AF function and the close focusing possibilities with this P&S. I will not give up film and darkroom - it's too much fun. But I've been curious about this particular camera.

Coming in the mail:
  • Canon P
  • LZOS Jupiter-12 35/2.8 (LTM)
  • Tele-Wide viewfinder (made in Japan!)
  • Arsenal Jupiter-8 (Contax/Kiev)
With any luck the later model J-12 will fit on the Canon P as well as on the FED-2. (Fingers crossed!)

I picked up 2 FED 2s. My J12 didn't fit either. :( The rangefinder foot was slightly out of places. I scratched the hell out of the J12 trying to mount it. Be careful; if it doesn't feel like its going on, don't push it too much.

The lens does work with my Leica IIIc but it doesn't feel like it is as sharp as it ought to be. Oh well, thats what i get for gambling on cheaper gear.

Speaking of which, I have a Zorki 1c and I22 coming in the mail from a fellow RFFer. I'm excited to give it a shot as my IIIc is in pretty rough shape.

Thanks for the heads up. The seller had been using the J-12 on his FED-3 with no problems and it is my intent to be very careful when doing the first mount on my FED-2. I may do it with the shutter open on "B".

Relatively RARE "wartime" engraved/issue Summitar BARNDOOR hood (almost impossible to find online)
I just bought it 5 mins ago on evilbay for less than $40 ~ real good deal, now it goes on my 1945/49 Leica IIIC K Chrome "Sharkskin" conversion/Summitar lens combo.

Well, the J-12 came today...works great on the Zorki 4K, but does not fit the FED-2. The rear part of the lens barrel does not clear the rangefinder cam. :(
