M8 from the classifies - (OurManInTangier, great guy) - too bad, hoped, that it'll be a little fun once in a while. Well, its too great and now all my film cameras are afraid that their shutters get sticky......Why did I try this? Nex has been ok., good pictures but missing the RF - feeling. Now M8....I now don't need more cameras, only more time......

Contax S2 to have a companion for my sonnar 2.8/85.
Sounds like an earthquake - why aren't others as quiet as Maitanis creations ....
As noisy am my R5 or the luosy 139Q, hopefully more reliable ... anybody knows a body that suits that tremendous optics from ZEISS?

Elmar-M 50mm on Leica M6 by mandoflex, on Flickr
I found this sweet new-old-stock Elmar-M 50mm in Photografica, Copenhagen. I am a irrationally attracted to lenses of the 4 element Tessar family (although Leica would probably claim this lens to be a derivate of their Anastigmats and Elmax).
The lens was in production from 1994 to 2007. I don't think it was produced in large numbers because I rarely see them in the many 2nd hand shops of Tokyo. Not many raves about the lens on the net, thus it's lack of 2nd hand availability is not due to some internet hype.
I went into Photografica to ask for availability and pricing of a used sample, was surprisingly told that they had a couple of new available. It was priced at the 2007 list price, and with DK sales tax (25%) removed and the benefit of the strong yen, the price came down on the irresistible voigtlander level.
a 40mm nokton... needed a fast and small lens and haven't liked the 35mm nokton in the past due to distortion... I'm hoping the 40mm has less distortion.

Really? Love to see some examples of that. Any links?...haven't liked the 35mm nokton in the past due to distortion...

Got a Rollei 35 SE. Had to choose between that and some form of Medium Format camera, be it a TLR or a Fujica GS645W. Wanted to ask here, but the site was down!!

Not entirely RF-related, but still: a W-Komura 28mm/f3.5 in M42. If anyone knows how to get the focus ring off, please drop me a line! It's dented, so I can't realistically focus - the helicoid is sort of jammed... :bang:
Well, it was dirt cheap, so what could be expected...

One of them 2x Telemore teleconverters for Leica M.
I know, they have a very bad reputation, but curiosity got the better of me.
Maybe it works out ok and complements the gear for shooting motor sports ;-)

Finally got a light tent. Now maybe all my pictures of cameras won't suck (as bad, anyway
). Here's a test shot using the tent.

Cool Sid ;-)
I don't like wrinkly velvet fleece, but it's hard, to store those darn fleece things without wrinkling.
So my solution is, to shoot with a white fleece and light it with one or two flashes, to overexpose the white fleece, while keeping the product nicely exposed.
I then proceed in PP, to completely blow out the white fleece, loosing all detail, resulting in a product shot with my product on white background (keeping a light, wanted shadow, preventing an awkward look).
Careful with chrome camera stuff lighting with flash too!

Decided to go back to film and bought a Leica M4-2 and a Summarit 50 2.5.
So the camera came first and unfortunately it had to go in for a service on the very day the lens showed up. Frustrated with a lens and no body I bought a new in the box, papers, etc. Leica M6 so now I can use the film camera. The M4-2 is at DAG for the last 2 weeks so now idea when to expect that. The problem is that it does not have a lens of its' own so my mind wanders toward a 35 or 75.

Why yes Ma'am - it folds
Couple of days ago, I received a Zeiss Super Ikonta IV from KEH. Listed as a "bargain" and in-operable, but at the price ($139) I decided to take a crap shoot.
A"bargain" it is - hardly any cosmetic blemishes and I've yet to find anything "in-operable" with the camera. Nice light tight bellows, shutter times seem about right, self-timer works, and light meter works fine. I can fine nothing that doesn't work with this camera. Now it's time for a roll of film.
