What have you just BOUGHT?

An RD-1 ... and as usual Australia Post are delaying the process of my geting my hands on it by not updating tracking info in spite of the fact it was sent from NZ via EMS at a cost of $46.00. Tracking information has said exactly the same thing since the 2nd April ... 'held in customs for clearance!'

They really are a bunch of usless f***ers!
 
I must be crazy: a Leica R8 with motor and a 50 Summicron for it. Last thing I need is another 35mm system with its own (expensive) lenses. I almost never shoot 35mm any more, but the R8 is so cool looking, and the price was so right, and I've always wanted to try one (and all those other GASsy excuses).

An original, brand new Tom A. matte black rapidwinder. I had some trouble getting it to lock on to the bottom of my rebellious M6, but with his characteristic and enthusiastic customer service Tom was quick to respond to emails and we got it worked out (with some parchment paper shims!) -- as he put it, it is now a "literary Leica". Thanks Tom -- I'm loving the RW.
