Got two nice cameras today. I found a nice Crown Graphic 4x5 for cheap, and while out looking for some Fuji instant 4x5 film, I found a Leica M4-MOT camera for a good price. I bought the Leica and forgot about the film.
Picked up at a local electronic bay a Nokton 50/1.5 for USD 460 including hood, caps and Leitz 50/75 M adapter. I'm looking forward to enjoy my first fast lens!
How would you rate the price for a (supposed) mint condition lens?
I have just bought a mint (according to the ebay auction and its pictures) Canon A-1 for 6.99 euros plus 15 for p&p. Let's see now what comes in.
It was stated as "Canon A 1" so had no luck to be picked up while searching for Canon A1 or A-1.
Somewhat the same case as with my iphone 4 I had bought two years ago for 90 USD by mistakenly typing ipone in ebay's search and bumping on a rather unfortunate auction. My brother in law was not that lucky. He deliberately searched for hiphone and what he had received was a hiphone! 🙂
Now, I am aiming for a Canon 1.4 FD and a power winder A (I know A2 is better, but the first one looks more tidy on A-1).
It is my winner day: Had another good deal on a local electronic marketplace. Picked up my first modern digital "carry everywhere" camera Fujifilm X100.
Planning to have the X100 on me all the time, replacing my LX-3 and also let's me leave the Nikon DSLR & lenses on the shelf for my "artistic" 🙄 pictures.
Local store was liquidating their stock of developing tanks. Korean tanks (which in my opinion, is as good as any of the brand names) went for $15 (40% down) and that is for the tank and two 35mm reels, so I bought two sets.
