At the semiannual swap meet in Winter Park, FL, Sunday, I bought my first Leica, a IIIa from 1936 with a Summar attached. The slow speeds don't work, but the high speeds appear to be close to correct, the shutter curtains look good, and the viewfinder and rangefinder are clear and bright. The Summar is cloudy, so I'll have to wait until I find a new vintage lens for it--and also for a takeup spool to arrive next week.
Another extension for my Jobo dev. tanks (to process 4 rolls), some Jobo spirals, a bottle of FX-39 and some 120 Acros...off to Lyngen/Norway soon for work, and my GF670 will come along
Kind of embarrassing story: Just bought a second Canon A-1 (grabed from eBay) without realizing that I already had one on my camera display shelf. The one I already had is in good shape and works perfectly ( I used it yesterday). The second camera arrived today and it's in even better shape. It looks like it's barely been touched. I guess I have two A-1's.....for now.
I just received this Durst Enlarging Cone. My plan is to attach it to a Plaubel Peco Jr flat black lensboard. This will be a fun metalworking project when it warms up.
