What have you just BOUGHT?

bought a 75summarit which I adore
sold a bunch of gear....
have a pocketful of moula

am tempted by Digital but am still holding out, tired of making wrong decisions

A nice GMP F-grip for my FM2n and R-grip for my Nikon S2/SP when using short teles. I brought both grips including shipping for only 80 bucks.

100' roll of Ilford Dmax 400.

And something far too expensive that I'm sure to have sell off half of my equipment to pay for in the long run. What was I thinking?

Ricoh 500G which has good light seals and looks cosmetically great, but needs an overhaul. Battery leaked, shutter and light meter dead. But once I get it working, it'll take great pictures. Love that 40mm/2.8 Rikenon lens.

Which half of your equipment?

Meet me Sunday at Barber Shop Alfa for annual Open House?

An early M4-2 (w/in the first 500 of 1977 year serial#s) with the uncommon Leitz "Wetzlar" on the top plate. A landmark camera for me as it is the first "M" that I performed my own CLA. Having owned (but never opened) M2, M3, M4, M5 and M6, I don't believe the M4-2s any less quality in practical use. Maybe a tiny bit less in the finishing details, example, the actual film frame is not machined as perfectly as the other Ms--I mean the corners are slightly rough by less than a hair's width--but that's pretty nitpicky. I'll give it 6 months and get back to you if anything major arises :)

I think the M4-2 gets a bad rap in part because it is noticeably lighter than the other the 'traditional' Ms. 524g without film. That's 86g lighter than the current MP; 100g less than the M5 or M7; 60g less than the M2/M3/M4. That, and the clean, non-flare VF, are big pluses for me.

An original Plaubel Makiflex Viewfinder Hood, an eye-level viewfinder with 45 degree mirror and magnifier (2.5X magnification) according to the Makiflex literature.

Been looking for these ever since I first found my cameras.

Right now the Fuji X100 and Noblex.
Most likely the Canon equipment.
I really don't want to sell the Xpan Nikon-S stuff.

Aye, should be around by 10 or 11. Not sure what I'll bring though.
