What have you just BOUGHT?

Crown Graphic Special. Been wanting one ever since I had to sell the first one, and finally came across one that wasn't astronomically priced. Came within $0.37 of losing the auction!

Nikon F4. Bought for $40, because it has light corrosion in the battery chamber. I will see how bad it is, I might have to pay a little more than that for a replacement battery grip, if vinegar and Q-tips fail.

Walked into my local camera store to drop off a few rolls of film last week. In their used case were three Pentax K1000 bodies. All were turned in by the same person. This was my first camera 36 years ago! I had to take a look at them. All three were mint. Each had a Pentax 50. Two of them were 1.4’s. I was surprised at how heavy and well-built these bodies felt. The viewfinder brightness also was a pleasant surprise. They were asking $69 for the body with a lens.

When I came back a few days later to pick up my film they were still in case. I cherry picked the best body and the best 50/1.4. How could you not for $69! My first roll of film is still in the camera.

About a month ago I found myself cruising Ebay look at Nikon F2 bodies with the non-metering heads. I think this K1000 may have saved me several hundred dollars

I bought and just received in the mail a complete set of black P6 extension tubes to complete my P6 and Exakta 66 gear (wanted to shoot something really, really small recently with the 150/4 Tele-Xenar and simply ran out of extension tubes - let's see how that works out now).

I am still searching for one of those rare Schneider 2x TCs and a 250mm Schneider lens, then I am good ;-)

Happy Friday! My Thumbs Up for the M9 just arrived along with a lens cap for my Zeiss 35 Biogon. Now I can keep the hood on the lens in the shoulder bag and have a cap that fits with the hood attached.

Just arrived! Maki Bellows Attachment for Makiflex. Turns Makiflex into Pecoflex. Shown here with 300mm Schneider Componon, camera focused at about 3-4 meters. Lovely on the groundglass and an extremely tight closeup with the 300mm. Useful to have front swings, tilt, and lateral displacement. I would say as precise to use as my Sinar Normas. Love it!

What brought me here was the GR I got hold of a couple weeks ago. Seeing all the goodies people have around here makes me think I might made a mistake in coming here! I thought my lens buying addiction in the DSLR world was bad, but...

Kodak EK8, which is an instant folding camera with coupled rangefinder and combined RF/VF, from the 1970s. Found at a charity shop (yes, I've been poppin' tags) and going for sale when I've checked it out.

Picked up a refurb Nikon 24-120 VR f4 lens from Adorama. Not sure if I like it, after the initial 'wow' my camera (F6) has now become this huge thing. Yeah it was big before, but ok with prime lenses and really pleasant with the Nikkor 50 1.8G or CV 40 f2. Now it is like any other massive DSLR.
I'll shoot a test roll or two this weekend and make a judgement based on the results and my enjoyment of using it.

Not sure if this will work out:
I going to try a complimentary pairing of : a film M for traditional photography with B&W prints and a Panasonic m43 GX85 for 4k video ( with standard 50/25 primes only ).
