What have you just BOUGHT?

Within the past three weeks---two Pentax Spotmatics. I haven't developed any film from the two as of yet, but the ergonomics...just the feeling of the Spotmatic in my hands....is enjoyable in itself. If the images are like the cameras, I'll be happy. I don't understand why I never bothered to try a Spotmatic before.

A friend gave me a Canon FTb with a 35mm 3.5 lens. I used this same camera and lens about a year ago and enjoyed the results.

Bought a Tamron adaptall 80-210mm from Goodwill for $8 plus $13 shipping. Unfortunately is has a fungus issue. Very disappointing. After reading some great things about Tamron's Adaptall series of lenses here, I was looking forward to trying one and being able to use it across several platforms.

In response to my wife buying me a 100' roll of ORWO UN54, I just bought re-loadable cassettes and a bulk loader from the auction site. All should arrive next week.

I bought a Tamrac Stratus 6 bag. It was slightly bigger than I wanted but never mind.

Unfortunately, the side pockets have NO padding and only velcro flaps, I wouldn't have wanted to put anything in them.

The padding in the main body of the bag is thin and the padded dividers are thin and a bit 'short' in places so they wouldn't go arounf my lenses.

So I've sent it back.

Trying to find a decent bag that is in the style of how they practically alll were not many years ago, that's the right size and cost is pain in the 'arris.

I've been a Bad Erik lately.

SMC-Pentax 300mm f/4 for Pentax 67
Fujinon 210 f/5.6 for 8x10 😀

Seiko watch with glowing face, and a 4TB hard disk.

And after I bought all that, I was driving home tonight, and my poor Jeep started falling apart, LITERALLY. The trans/T-case skidplate bolts came OUT of the frame, and took some frame with them. My lower frame rails are like soft cheese. Time to get a weld-in patch!

Sweet looking 1950s Summaron 35mm f3.5 LTM from a store in Seoul. Looks like no one has touched it since it came out of the factory. Was expecting some haze on the glass but looks clear as modern lens. Plan to use it on a Leica IIIc as my compact kit. Will first try to shoot without an external VF see how that goes. I'll also need to accessorize it with matching filter/hood, etc.

Arrived today

I bought 58mm-72mm step up ring and a metal 72mm lens hood for my tamron 35mm-70mm lens. I already have a 58-77mm set up for it, but it just feels a bit 'big', for some odd reason. The 72mm hood does feel quite a bit smaller although you can barely see the difference in comparison to the 77mm one.

I've been trying to find some new 40.5mm filters for my fed 2, but I've had no luck, so I decided to experiment with a 40.5mm-46mm step up ring, 46mm filter and a slotted 46mm lens hood. While there is some viewfinder cut-off, it doesn't seem any worse than on my ricoh 500gx, so I've decided to go that way.
