What have you just BOUGHT?

I bought a Hoya super multicoated skylight 1b filter for my Pentacon electric 135mm lens.

It didn't occur to me that the "slim 3mm ring" would be a bit too narrow to allow easy attachment of the filter to the lens because the built-in lens hood sticks out a tiny, tiny bit. :(

I stupidly decided to screw a lens hood into the front of the filter and use it as a 'handle' to screw the filter onto the lens.:(

The glass in the filter seems a little bit loose and now I can't get the filter off again to see if I can tighten the retaining ring on the filter.:bang:

I hope I don't forget that there's already a filter in place, as it doesn't look like there is, and go and buy another one.

Wish I'd got an 'ordinary' hmc sky1b filter.:bang:

Try wearing rubber gloves to shift it or else one of those thicker bits of rubber designed for loosening the tops of jars.

Thanks for the idea David.

Trouble is, there's nothing at all of the front edge of the filter ring above the edge of the lens hood for me to grip onto, so I'd probably end up breaking the filter to get it off. That may be what I have to do though.

I forgot about the set of Neewer 37mm ND 2, 4, and 8 filters that I bought for use with my Gevabox. I would use some Tokina 35.5mm thread ones but the ND 4 that I had didn't have a thread on the front and the ND 4 and ND 8 that I can find also don't seem to have front threads.

I just got a V2 35mm Summicron and I absolutely love it. Totally jump started me out of slump!

Just added another WW2 vintage Anniversary Speed Graphic 4x5 camera to the collection. Comes with a Kodak 127mm f/4.7 Ektar.

Deleted, this is what comes of misreading posts; there is a link with a young lady nearby asking for answers for the crossword in the paper too...

Just bought this (click on thumbnail):

Got it for less than £9 inc. p+p!

As far as I can tell it seems to be working as a self timer, but I want it for the slow speeds it's supposed to give. I can't quite work out how to do that yet, as every time I use it there isn't a first click to open the shutter and a second one to close it, but the cable release I have doesn't fit into it so that may be partly to blame. I've had a quick look on yootoobe (I ain't advertising them if I can help it) but I haven't yet found a clip that shows how to use it for the slow speeds.

Another Kodak Retina for my little collection of those impressive compact and beautiful machines: this time it's a IIIc (type 021), made in Stuttgart in 1956.

I bought a lens case for my pentacon electric 50mm lens, but it isn't a praktica made case. I'd hoped it would be big enough but it's too narrow by about 1 or 2 mm-the aperture is just too wide. I know I could've bought a praktica case that can be used for the 29mm lens, but that case is a little bit too big as the 50mm rattles about in the case I have for my 29mm lens.

I bought a lens case for a tamron 35-70mm 09A lens for my 17A, it's a very snug fit due to the raised zoom lugs but I couldn't find a 17A case.

I bought a hoya 49mm sky1b filter for my tamron 20A lens. I also bought a nikon ais mount for it.

Zeiss Distagon 16mm/2.8 in Rollei QBM mount. It is a fisheye lens. On a M 4/3 camera the view will be for a 32mm lens.

as it was my birthday i pulled the trigger and bought a stereo rollei:D
i mean a 6x13 "heidoscop".
Now i need a proper viewer, too :/ those suckers are expensive!!
