What have you just BOUGHT?

A Krügener Minumum-Delta, that was mostly bought for the interest of the nice Koilos shutter. It works well, but the camera lacks the ground glass (I'll try to make a substitute one day).

And a Thornton-Pickard Ruby Reflex Junior, a British equivalent to the American Graflex RB (but I prefer the Graflex)

A Horizont panoramic camera. Out on test today on Dartmoor in glorious sunshine.

What a piece of kit, Charles! It looks absolutely splendid.

As it happens, I was up on the moor today, but I certainly didn't see anyone sporting anything like this. :D A few iPhones being used as cameras, but no-one with anything that looked remotely interesting. :(

It is rather fun, really solid and wonderfully Heath Robinson - and you can guess where I acquired it!

It was glorious getting out, but no other nutters around near me either...:D

First photos alas show light leaks and shutter sticking but I believe it simple to sort (by Russell obviously!) I enjoyed using it and love the idea of the thing.

Ah - that's a pity. Presumably, the light leaks are simply a result of perished light seals, but the sticking shutter might be a little more 'specialist'. With luck, if Russell can sort it out, it should be a real delight. Let's see some results, when it's functioning properly. :)

Not one but two...Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 13.5cm f/4.5 lenses in Compur Shutter...
The first one looked really bad but was worth buying at the price...turned out the shutter wasn't repairable but the front and rear glass were fantastic.
The second one needed cleaning, a little lube and adjusting...the front and rear lenses are okay but the other set was better...
So now I have a very nice lens for 4x5/6x7 shooting...
Also bought a Series VI push on ring for a lens hood I already had...

A wonderfully preserved and fully working GOMZ Leningrad, made c.1958. It's even more gorgeous the sound it makes when fired, it's like an AK47!

The camera was presented to a Soviet officer in 1972, and it it's hand engraved.

1990 and has legitimately (for once) been frozen since new.:)

Hmm. You're reminding me that I need to order some more 120 and some more Polaroid film. I'll put it on my TBD list. :)

---
I ordered a few things I need for the new camera. I'm cobbling up a 'left sided hand grip' out of a Kirk universal L-plate (small) and a RRS mini-clamp, got an adapter so that I can use my ELPRO close up lenses on the XCD 45, etc etc.

More airline tickets. To Cuba again. But that is normal every 6-8 weeks or so. Maybe tickets for us to go to Spain this fall or winter. Need to let the world settle from the CV crisis before I can plan that trip.

I cannot remember the last time I bought a camera, lens, or anything photo related. Probably 3 years or so. I find what I have does not hold me back. Oh, some printer ink last year. I do tend to make sure I have a good stock.

I do need to buy some paper for a new exhibit soon. I must check what I have and decide what I want to use. At least I have a good supply of 16x20 frames that I recycle over and over again.
