My Bronica S2A sounded like racking a Mossberg 870.

I got bullied when I was a kid (boo-hoo), so I like big, loud, manly cameras that let my subjects know that I'm in charge, and I don't want any lip!

A few years ago I bought a Pentax 6x7 MLU. I haven’t used it yet, though I’ve bought three lenses for it.
A friend was showing it to me, it was for sale and I had no intention of buying it. I was just playing around, thinking the shutter slap and noise would be horrendous. To my surprise, it wasn’t. After showing me the features and how it’s used, I thought the camera was kind of cool. I feel guilty that I haven’t used it yet.

A Remington or Mossberg could be very useful.
Perhaps some potential malevolent souls would be scared off by the mirror slap of a Bronica?
I bought, recently , a Nikon D750 and downloaded a 500 page manual
pretty excited.

Just traded 9600ws of Speedotron packs with 3 heads and a Strand/Speedotron 8” Fresnel spot for a pretty much unused TTH Cooke series XV triple convertible lens (original version from the 40’s) in an Alphax synced shutter.
Can’t wait to use it this week. I’ll be using it on my 8x10 Deardorff and Deardorff 4x5 / 5x7 Special. I’m fully retiring by the end of the year and going to get back into photography for myself.

Whoops! Mossberg 500!
Back in the Navy, we used both, even at one duty station, and the manual of arms is identical between the two.
As for a potential malevolent soul being scared off by a camera shutter... I think it is irresponsible to "actuate the shutter of your Bronica" as a warning that a 6x6 SLR was in the house, to a "would-be-subject of a photograph." It might be catastrophic if using this approach, you aimed the camera and depressed the shutter button but nothing happened. Always have the camera loaded with film, shutter fully cocked, with the finger off the shutter button until you absolutely know you need to take that photo.
Here, the only thing that subject might hear is the flick of the shutter button lock.
...and a voice that was coached by a Marine Gunnery Sergeant.
I don't want to use any medium format cameras indoors, my hearing is already badly damaged from all the large format (NMCB-4) and ultra large format work (C-Battery 1/11 Marines) I witnessed in Iraq.
Always use your cameras responsibly.

Given that I've gotten enthralled by the Kodak Retina IIc, I found a book on Blurb named "The Anatomy of the Retina" by David L Jantz. It's a wonderful piece compiled from two Kodak documents written circa 1956 and illustrates the complete Kodak Retina IIc/IIIc system.
And I was looking for a lens hood for the 50mm lens, found an original Kodak hood; it's on the way to me now.
Fun fun fun...

10 m of SVEMA KN-4S 135 BW film from an Ebay seller in Ukraine. Need to test it, maybe with an INDUSTAR 50-2 lens?

"Medium format camera" and "unobtrusive" are usually mutually exclusive terms.
Rolleiflex etc TLR with WLF might fit the bill, but not MF SLRs...

Went on a buying spree earlier in the year (Lots of Leica stuff), but just recently I bought, on the cheap, a Minolta X570 and lens, the better one. Hmmm, lots of fun.

Well, Shawn, I see you have your Pentax 645! Pretty cool, huh? Of course, since they don't have interchangeable backs, your going to need another body. Or two...

Finally found a Contax II in good condition:
Got this and the '37 Sonnar 50/1.5 for a steal. A couple of Zeiss bumps and vertical RF alignment might be off a tad but otherwise runs fine. Happy days.

It is a solid camera. Have the first roll in it now. Had to read the manual understand shifting between Program, aperture priority and shutter priority but it makes sense now. I thought the AV and TV on the top panel would have some sort of indicator near them. Easy to use, just a little different. The only thing that bugs me is that the buttons/menu is still active when it is switched off. I had it in my bag and something hit the VF LCD button so it turned that off. Next time I went to use it I ended up taking a shot when I was just trying to see the meter.
How is the microprism in yours? Eye position seems to effect how visible it is or not and it is kind of always showing in at least part of the ring.

Ordered a GariZ half case for my Olympus EM5 II. You know what you're getting with GariZ cases: solid, good leather, chunky metal base.
