“Wow!” I thought. “A device even more cackhanded than the Visoflex! I have to have one.” So, having kept a weather eye open on eBay, I came across this, at a bargain-basement £39.99. The padded box alone is worth that. All in excellent condition- presumably no previous owner has had the patience to use it more than twice.
The Heath Robinsonish sprung clamp seems more secure than it looks at first sight to hold your precious Barnack. The tripod mount can be moved for left-right or right-left operation, which explains why the Leitz logo is upside down. The Elmar shown is unusable because of the inaccessibility of the aperture control, although experiments with an EL Nikkor look promising.
