What have you just BOUGHT?

Roeschlein-Kreuznach - E- Telenar 90mm f3.8 which seems to be 'quite a lump' but is 20g lighter than the screw thread Elmar 90 cm f4.
The R-K is bright and shiny typical of many of the Paxette lenses. The aperture is smooth enough with very noticeable click stops. The focus is on the stiff side so a CLA is desirable even if the lens is useable. There is some dust in the optics, typical, but otherwise ... Not the most common of lenses!
 
A used (mint condition) Rayqual Lens Mount Adapter for Leica M lens to Sony E-Mount Camera. I paid 5000 yen ($32.00) for it.

A couple days ago I arrived at the train station in Hinode-cho Yokohama and realized that I forgot to bring my lens mount adapter. I didn't fancy going back home to get it so I went to the nearby camera shop to see if they had a cheap used one. I couldn't believe my luck when I found the used Rayqual adapter on the shelf amongst all the other used adapters. For anyone not familiar with Rayqual mount adapteres they are (IMHO) one of the best made mount adapters available.

I spent the rest of the day happily taking pictures with my Sony A7III camera and Voigtländer 28mm f1.5 Nokton Vintage Line Type II black paint lens. 🙂

Lucky you; the Photo Gods smiled down upon you! Me? Well, they're usually trying not to laugh out loud when I've left my lens cap on. Again.
 
I walked in a charity shop yesterday and saw this watch for £10.

Looks like the Gods of Charity shops were kind to me. It is a Rotary Maximus, 9c gold case made by D.S&S and golden hands. Movements is the excellent Revue 77.
I am gathering some quotes to have it serviced. New leather strap is on its way too..

It's not the most refined thing, but so far, I'm liking it. Light leaks, yes, but I suspect they're the more normal sort, coming in via the rear door. Normally I replace camera foam, but in this case, I only gave it a cursory once-over due to the relative newness of the camera. But I'll take a closer look when I finish the current roll of film.

I recently picked up a Focoslide, and after some cleaning up, I've found it makes for a surprisingly functional (if a tad eccentric) close-up photography setup. For those who've never seen one, it looks like this: You clip a Barnack* next to the (Visoflex-compatible) viewfinder on the top...

“Wow!” I thought. “A device even more cackhanded than the Visoflex! I have to have one.” So, having kept a weather eye open on eBay, I came across this, at a bargain-basement £39.99. The padded box alone is worth that. All in excellent condition- presumably no previous owner has had the patience to use it more than twice.

The Heath Robinsonish sprung clamp seems more secure than it looks at first sight to hold your precious Barnack. The tripod mount can be moved for left-right or right-left operation, which explains why the Leitz logo is upside down. The Elmar shown is unusable because of the inaccessibility of the aperture control, although experiments with an EL Nikkor look promising.

I do enjoy these things...do you have an underwater case for it?
 
From ebay, a used Lowepro Photo Runner 100 camera bag. I will be using it for my Zoom H2n audio recorder equipment. I am starting a new project involving still photos mixed with ambient sound recordings. It is just big enough to hold the recording gear along with a small mirrorless camera and a couple of lenses.
