Panasonic FZ300 25-600 super small sensor but a hell of a lot of fun. ISO 100-400 looks great! I know, as anti rangefinder as you can get. 🙂👍

And f2.8 though that whole range both of which are incredibly useful. The zoom toggle on the side of the lens is a great feature.
In monochrome you can shoot quite a bit higher ISO too. Video is quite good on it and can also shoot stills while taking video.
There is a lot to that camera and many things can be adjusted/changed on it. I bought mine used for little money and the overall implementation impressed me so much I ended up with a FZ1000 II and eventually the S1R.

Wow, fresh film! I haven't had a roll of fresh 35mm film to shoot in about 18 years, aside from a few scant rolls of Ferrania P30 and P33... !!! I've been chewing down on my over-large stock of 35mm film for that long... Still have a dozen rolls of Agfa APX25 in stock ... etc. 😀

Never saw one of these before! I know the legend behind maneki-neko, but is there a story behind the dog? Or, maybe, dog lovers are just an untapped market!

As far as I can see, the folklore is limited to cats, but it's such a popular thing that we've now got tons of variants from creators around the world. Besides dogs, quick search revealed other variants including maneki-kitsune (fox), kappa (supernatural creature), kaiju (monster), C'thulu, usagi (rabbit), panda, monkey - and probably a bunch more I hadn't considered.

For a while, photography has been somewhat of a side quest to my work and travel, so I’ve just been sticking a camera in my travel bag or work backpack and haven’t had a dedicated bag that properly works with my equipment in years. So I just bought a new Hex DSLR Ranger Sling which is meant for a DSLR + 70-200mm lens or a mirrorless and 2 medium lenses, but I’ve found it works great for smaller cameras.
Here, it fits my Nikon FA with 50mm f/1.2 mounted, Voigtlander Bessa R3A with 40mm f/1.4 mounted, a 20-35mm zoom, and a 135mm f/2.8 for Nikon. I can also remove the tele or zoom and swap it with my Contax G1 and the 45mm or 90mm (it fits) or add more film. The side pockets hold filters and there’s an AirTag hidden inside the strap.

I like the notion of carrying a 40 and a 50. I don’t have a 40 at the moment, but as a focal length I always thought it was excellent (and I do have an actual 45 and a 45 equivalent for digital…
Anyway, just bought an Instax Wide printer - what fun for the connected silver fox🙂

50 has been my go-to for a while but sometimes I need a touch wider but not as wide as a 35 (I find the 35 too wide when I want a 50 and too long when I want a 28). The 40 seems very natural and gives me a little more room for street photos, especially with the R3A’s viewfinder. I’ll probably sell my 35mm lens soon because it’s made redundant by both the 20-35 zoom and the X100. If I get back into that focal length again, it’ll probably be in M-mount.
The mobile printers are very cool - it’d be fun to travel with one of those and a digital camera like the X100 and print different things as you go.

Forgive the naive question -- the Instax Wide printer will print out images from a digital camera? Cool! I find it hard to find Instax Wide film around here, though.

It prints from the phone via bluetooth. So, if your digital camera can download to the phone then you can print. It's nice actually

(V2) Tamron Twin-Tele 135mm f4.5 with x2 converter and a 42mm mount on that, the 135mm mount is 37mm, hence the adapter, it was hard to say no for the price, it was cheap as there were no other official adapters it usually comes with, interesting lens.
