What have you just BOUGHT?

I just won a camera I've been wanting for a long time.
A nice looking, black body SR-T102 from Goodwill.
This is the camera I used many years ago, and even though I misloaded the film and got a black strip back from the developer, I had fallen for the camera and photography. I'll be able to sell one of the two chrome bodied ones I have to help pay for it, but that's OK with me. Give a little to get a lot.
I can't wait for it to arrive now.

They are great cameras, usually sold with the 58f/1.4 which is a stunning lens.

Both the chrome bodies have 58's on them. One will be leaving once the black body arrives and is given the once over to make sure it's worthy of staying. It has a Rok X 50 1.7 on it which I hope will be worth keeping just for something different.

I have quite a few Rokkor 50s. Technically speaking, the last MD 50f /1.4 is probably the sharpest 1.4 I ever had, irrespective of the brand. But the extra 8mm of the 58 really make a difference. In practical terms, the X 50f/1.7 is the only 50mm Rokkor you will ever need.

Hmm. I like the "long normal" look of 58-65 mm lenses. Personally, I'd rate that as higher priority over ultimate sharpness, at least for my photographic pursuits.

It is, perhaps, why I find the Leitz Makro-Elmarit-R 60mm f/2.8 so appealing for general purpose photography quite aside from its speciality of macrophotographic prowess. The additional speed of an f/1.4 lens in this general category would be appealing, but I've never had any of the faster long-normals to work with.

10 rolls of near dated 120 Gold for 70 pounds.

Five FILCAs and one IXMOO for 40 pounds total.

And had a lovely talk with Alex Falk, Mr CAD himself.

I've been having fun with my D70 this summer, first time using it in almost 20 years. I stumbled upon this mint Tokina 20-35 3.5-4.5. Rock solid lens, pretty sharp too. So far it's a joy to use on my D700, D70, and D200.

I liked those early Tokina Pro lenses better than the equivalent Sigmas. I had a sigma 28-70f/2.8 and was a major let down. The Tokina equivalent was miles ahead.
