What have you just BOUGHT?

I went the whole route on the Olympus IS-3 DLX. As a matter of fact I just finished a roll of Portra 400 this morning. For little money after watching the big auction site I ended up with the camera, tele, wide and macro lenses, a hand grip, a remote, and a flash. The accessories are all like new and I use them quite a bit in the summer. I have been quite pleased with the photos I have gotten, and it sits right on the table on the enclosed porch all the time ready to take out with the dogs or if I see something interesting out the window. The autofocus is good, the zoom is useful, and the rechargeable batteries are cheap. Have I convinced you?IMG_2118.jpeg

congrats! Somewhere in my mess I have an Olympus wide- and tele- converter lens pair ... I'll hunt them up, I know they're 62mm threaded attachment but I don't recall whether they're right for the IS-3. You want them, just PM me. ;) They're not doing any good just sitting in my photo equipment cabinet.

Thank you so much for your offer but I live in UK and it will be a hassle to post them to here. There are a few people who replied earlier on this thread - if they live on your side of the pond, maybe they will be interested ?

Not a hassle but expensive! I poked around on the USPS site and it's costing US$50 and upwards for even the cheapest shipment of adequate size these days ... Yikes! That seems to have gone way up in recent months. :(

The 3 accessory lenses for the IS-3/3000 are 55 mm. I also use them on my Olympus C-2100UZ and C-750UZ with step up adapters. You can go down a deep rabbit hole of turn of the century Olympus stuff. The C-750UZ is kept in the door pocket of my car for unexpected opportunities. It takes reasonable 4MP pictures, has 10X zoom, is basically point and shoot, and I don't care if it gets stolen or broken.

KEH had a "broken" fm10 for 20 shipped that I was going to use the back cover on the second Bessa L...it works with a few issues, DOF preview plastic is cracked and the focus screen has some specs of dust inside it.

Today I bought a second-hand Tarion PB-01 camera backpack from ebay that was listed by a charity shop. It was quite expensive considering it is from a charity shop, but it is near new. The only thing wrong with it is I don't think there's a neck strap for the little should bag, at least I haven't found one yet. There is room for every bit of my Mamiya 1000S kit, but I'm considering getting a Mamiya 2x converter and that may put too much pressure on the space.
