Just received this Kodak D-76 powder from PRC for US$19, including shipping by air. B&H's price is US$15 but the air shipping and tax is another $54.6!! No brainer. Glad that I placed this order before the T-word! Maybe I should buy some more right now...😅

Minolta XD5 with Minolta auto D winder and 45mm 2.0 MD Rokkor.

The winder is awesome (so solid), the lens is in perfect condition but the camera…

The frame counter is toast ( don’t know if it is worth the effort to take the top cover off and take a closer look at the fragile spring etc.), the leds hardly light up at all and the camera seems to work perfectly in manual mode but the auto modes seem to give erratic speeds or the mirror hangs up. I wonder if fresh batteries could cure that behavior? Does the XD5 also suffer from the dreaded capacitor problems?

It is my first XD and so far I love it! I‘ve already used the X700 and SRT101 - man, that XD with it’s Seiko shutter plays in a totally different league. I guess one has to get used to the quite noticeable „shutter lag“ of that type of camera, one can clearly see how firstly the aperture closes and then the mirror goes up - due to this „seperate“ steps the camera is quite and has almost nor mirror slap. I hope that fresh batteries will bring it back to life.

It is alive!!! A pair of fresh batteries did the trick😉

Now I need to replace the light seals.
 
A micro 4/3rds Panasonic G9 II and 12-60mm Panasonic Leica 12-60mm lens.

I am seriously considering offloading all my Fuji APS-C and Sony Full frame kit now that my main camera is the Fuji GFX100S which I am in love with. It is like having a 4x5 camera in a manageable package. The micro 4/3rds is to be used as a small rig when I want to travel light. The Panasonic G100 and a small prime is a nice coat pocket camera and the G9s for more serious work.
 
A new 19mm yellow filter from China for my Elmars. I figured that a (presumably uncoated) modern filter is probably as good as a well used, 80 year old, Leitz one at three to four times the price. I will still keep my eyes out for the real thing though.

Dear Board,

I realize that many of you will have little interest in this recent purchase.

I don't have the space, funds, or time to set up an actual darkroom. I need things to be simple. I bought a Lab-Box from a member here and it works great. But I sort of dedicated it to 120 film and wanted something similar for 35mm film.

So, I bought a Lomo Daylight Tank and gave it a go today. I can report that after watching a You Tube video and trying it out that it worked well for me.

This is just what I am trying to avoid. LOL It is a great way to go. Good luck with your developing.

Dear Godfrey,

Right around 390ml is the spec. When you load the tank and add the developer you just fill the tank until it is visibly full. You are working with the middle of the tank exposed with the film in a black liner and you can see when it is full easily. I thought I had 390ml in the beaker but eyeballed the level poorly and was about 2 eyedroppers worth low. I dribbled a bit more in and everything turned out fine. Next time I'll probably just measure 400ml in the beaker to be safe.

I'm going to have a look at this. The 35b is missing the self timer but I hope the lens is in good condition. Does anyone have any experience with it?

Edit: the lens is a super Rokkor 45f/2.8
