What have you just NOT bought!

This week it would be a Canon 35mm 2.5 FL lens and a Nikon MD-4...
I hope to wait for a bit before really trying to get either one...

That's a coincidence, I bought a 35mm 2.5 FL on a whim a few days back (awaiting delivery). I know very little about the lens other than the fact that it's slightly faster than my 3.5 and I like the 35mm focal length.

What are you looking to get out of that lens, if I may ask?

I was just about to buy an Olympus 35SP for 95€, but I had just dragged myself from my hair away from it (and the more I think of it the more I want to start screaming).

What a timely thread. I'm trying super hard not to buy new gear this summer.
In the past month or so, I've dodged

• X-E1 or X-Pro1
• GR
• Summaron 35/2.8
• Summicron 35 v3
• Elmar-M 50/2.8
• EOS-M
• E-P5
• Oly VF-3
• R-D1
• Oly 9-18mm for MFT
• CV 28/3.5
• CV 35/1.4

Wow. Typing these made me scared and also a tiny bit proud of myself. I'm also parting out my unused bicycle parts (I have 4 bikes...) I gotta keep going!

My name is Richard. I have bought some cameras and quite a few lenses but no new camera for nearly a year. I let go the sister chrome M9-P to the one I have, the last new one available here. And then it miraculously reappeared at my first visit to the shop in months, a demo model. And I let that go. And I haven't ordered the Monochrom still. In fact I am not allowed to. The only camera I have bought in the last 12 months was a $350 Rolleiflex from the classifieds here, and that was 11 months ago. I am doing pretty well.

Resisted:
Fuji x-e 1
Fuji X-Pro 1
Sigma DP2 merrill
Olympus E-p5

Buying a Sony RX100, a Leica X1, an Olympus 1.8/45 and 1.8/35 should be more than enough for this year...

Adobe Lightroom. I keep thinking I should, then I wonder what it will do for me that my current workflow won't. My answer so far is "some, but not enough to be worth the cash and energy". While I know I'll go there some day, that day isn't yet.
