I voted an interchangable lens, new Leica design, full frame, digital camera. It'll use the M mount, else why call it an M? It'll also be quite expensive.

If you look at Leica's ad, they called 'all' their cameras 'M's'. I doubt it will be M mount personally.

My guess is they don't try compete with mirrorless mainstream, Sony, Fuji, Pana, Oly.

Either rangefinderless body for M lenses, or rebrand of some Panasonic fixed lens AF & zoom model.

I am going with your suggestion in the other thread. Leica M mount/iPhone module. My footnote being it will be the one off Jony Ives Leica M design to be auctioned for charity announced last September.

I would hope that it is a M240 sans rangefinder but I expect that it will be Leica-Hermes edition of the Hasselblad Lunar with even bigger gangly knobs and a more exotic wood handle.🙂

It will be a camera that some will run out on impulse & buy. Make a You Tube video opening the box & fondling the camera. Pretty soon they will post a thread on some quirk on likes & dislikes. Later ask for sympathy from others about having to send it back to Leica USA or Solms for repair. Post a thread patting Leica on the back on their quick turn-a-round. Finally selling camera in the classifieds. That's what kind of camera it will be.😀

It would be nice if the mini M would turn out to be a film camera - something resembling an updated version of the CL - but the reality of the current outlook at Leica precludes this as a possibility IMHO. 🙁

If slotted between the X2 and M. Whatever it is. Price is going to be split between the two, so as to not take sales away from the X2, but not good enough to make buyers drop down and avoid buying the M240 etc similar priced models

I'd rather buy a Panasonic LX? when they come out with the next new model. If they were smart. EVF and takes M lenses (but will take Pani ones only)

Well, they say there's a lid for every pot, but that is a disappointment if that is what it turns out to be.

Maybe Panasonic or Olympus will come out with something interesting.
