What is the single best thing you've learned on RFF?

• That the First Rule of Rangefinder Club is not to talk about your secret desire to use a zoom.
• That there is a wealth of experience here, and someone somewhere will have the answer to any question i might come up with.
• That someone somewhere will have an unexpected reaction to something innocently written.

Highlight 1: Speak for yourself! There are many here who regard such desires as akin to perversions!

Highlight 2: Distressingly true.

Learnt another thing here.
Camera sent to Leica for a repair, must be repaired ASAP because I'm special.
Can't wait in line because 2000 others are ahead of them. Calling them out for poor customer service.
Try that at my shop every time you end up at the end of the que.

1 Colour negative film can take a whole lot of overexposure
2 Incident light metering makes light work of exposure decisions
3 It is not all about the glass
4 Following on from 3, it is all about the body: simple controls.
5 Following on from 4: hence the M5. Magic.
6 Zeiss 50 C Sonnar (following on from 3 which is usually only about Leica)
7 The Fuji X100

And that's all before getting onto the photography that matters.
