the 135mm lens belongs on an SLR camera.

There is a "problem" with this poll since it does not include the very wide lenses, assuming that such lenses are not being viewed as least favorite lenses. I often have heard from people here that anything wider than 28mm look unreal is not nice looking.

I like the size and portability of a rangefinder camera with a normal or wide angle lens and don't have a lens longer than a 50mm.
I always wonder why there are more 90's for sale than any other lens...

35mm, 50mm, 90mm and 135mm. But only seem to use the 50mm, then the 35mm. Framing with the 90 and the 135 is more like sighting a gun than composing.
I like the longer lenses with my other kinds of cameras.

135mm because of framing not focusing. I use the patch but can rarely frame right from the first shot, too bad it is not parallax corrected on the RD1

I'm picturing my high school teacher yelling at me for not reading the WHOLE question. I voted 50mm thinking it was my favorite vote.

Yeah, sure, 135mm sucks. Specially the Sonnar:

They are all good and where are the 24's, 21's, 18's, 15's and 12?

Given the constraints of an RF, the longest lens in the poll would have been the obvious choice for most, so this really doesn't say much.
Taking away the obvious, and choosing only from "popular" RF focal lengths, for me the 28mm and 40mm are my least favorites. The 50 is my favorite, and if I want wider I use a 35; wider than that, I use a 25.

Yeah thats right except wehn you use the FSU turret VF.....but then there goes the compact size of the camera. (altough it's bearable on a Kiev modelut lightmeter)
Yeah 135 is very good for SLR's

I voted considering FL's to be on either SLR or RF... so I like using 90 and 135 sometimes on an SLR... can't imagine using them on a RF. Most hated FL for me is 35mm, period... really boring, not long enough to be normal or wide enough to be wide... but there are times when 35mm is still right... so I have an Oly XA and Minox GL... but I always hate working with that FL.

Yeah. I would have voted for 12mm. Really weird and funky for RFs.

Enjoy Life.
I would have to say the 40mm, it's a bit of a "tweener" length for my taste as I am used to the 35-50 step.
I actually like the 135mm, though it clearly was destined to win this poll. The small framing makes it an unusual experience, and one that may don't care for.
Reading through the thread on a subject such as this I always enjoy the wide variety of preferences, everyone has their own way of shooting. The beauty of it is... there is no "right answer"

Just sold my last 28mm - too close to my regular 35mm....if I need wider I always find myself reaching for the 24!

I've used a Hektor 135mm and got great results on an M3, but using this FL on any other body resulted in mixed focus issues. I usually have better results on a SLR with anything above 90mm, but I've decided to keep the Hektor as my only 135mm lens. Costs peanuts compared to current offerings from Leica.

I can't figure out how to make use of anything wider than 35, but I think I could put a 135 to good use. At least the 135 frame lines in my M6 have corners instead of the castrated 90mm frame lines.
