Hello all,
this is my first post here so lets start with a question🙂
Can anyone identify the following lens mount? It is a CZJ Tessar 50mm/f2.8
and the mount diameter is aprox. 35mm

Thanks in advance

The mount looks like it might possibly belong to a Contaflex, but there aren't any aperture linkages so that probably isn't true; try the SLR mount guide here to see if anything helps you.

Thenagain, it might not even be for an SLR...

I have Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 58mm f2.0 lens with a similar mount. The diameter is approximatley 37mm measured with digital calipers. It mounts on my Topcon Super D, so I am assuming it is for a late Exacta, RTL 1000 maybe?

Thanks everyone for your help.

hmm, I don't know the Topcon Super D takes Exakta mount lenses.
I think I will go with the Praktina mount. It looks very very similar.

cheers

the Praktina mount had that stud at the 12 o clock position, like on the MF Pentacon six or the MF Exakta 66 .
this is a 50mm Zeiss Tessar lens, so it is for a 35mm camera like the Praktina.
here is a site for Praktina cameras, they look kinda cool,
notice where the stud goes at 12 o clock on the Praktina with no lens:

Exakta. That's a very common (but good) lens for that camera.

Absolutely, positively a Praktina breech mount lens. (The Exakta mount is much smaller.) This is a pre-set aperture lens, without the stop-down plunger. The Praktina is a cool camera, if you can find one that works well.

Cheers,

David
