I can't believe Rangefinder wasn't included, and not mentioned.
OK, so it's over the top with advertisement, it is the official magazine of WPPI. I find it just a wee bit more useful that Professional Photographer, which was included in the poll.
Both Rangefinder and Professional Photographer are free. They may not say they are, but I get both without paying a penny. Not even my PPA membership anymore. I find the photography, generally, to be very good.
Ads can be a good thing. Back before the internet clobbered mail order, Shutterbug was a very useful publication. I looked forward especially to the annual B&W issue (June, IIRC). Unfortunately, lack of revenue means a lack of funding to pay journalists and other writers for the magazine, and content has suffered miserably.
