What new Voigtlander RF or SLR product would you like to see?

A nice high contrast 35mm lens that can collapse in any modern rangefinder (especially RD1 and M8) and therefore make it almost flat, for less than 400$. Make it f/2.8 or f/3.5 whatever is needed to have it collapse, very resistant to flare so putting an UV/IR filter on it is not a pain, and so no hood is really needed.
 
Other than the afore mentioned LTM with AE

-A 35/2. The 35 PII is awesome but that extra 1/2 stop would be most welcome. A 'Cron clone design.

-An SLR line. To simplify things since Cosina has ready access to it and already produces lenses make it Nikon mount. Fill out the lens selection a bit (just about all primes and maybe a normal zoom 28-70/4 or 35-70/4)

-Digital Bessa R - Sounds like a great fit for the new Micro 4/3rds standard. With the scarcity of the RD1s and the cost of the M8 if it was well designed and cost was kept near or under $1000 it would probably take over the Digital RF market.

-Go back to including accessory finders with the all the wide lenses.

-A 6x6 or 6x7 (NOT 645!!!!) RF. No folding or other stuff - think Texas Bessa and for the love of God put a light meter in it.
 
like many others, I would love a digital bessa. but more realistically, A bessa with a better build quality, somethin like the Konica Hexar RF. A bessa with AE, a 1.0x mag finder like my bessa r3a, quieter shutter, maybe even a motor drive if its quiet enough. In fact, why not remake the Konica Hexar RF with a 1.0x mag finder! that would be sweeeet!!!

oh, and keep the price around $100.00 or so.
 
I think a real waist level finder like the Leica AUFSU would be really cool. Would be extra cool if it had accessory attachment or swing down lenses to get you to 28 or 35mm. (28 + 50 for me please).

It can't be *that* hard to make and there is *no* competition on the market.
 
hello RFF friends ... didn't saw what's going on on RFF for a looong time ...
as I said already, longer RF base and quieter shutter , maybe something like ZI camera ... and yes - viewfinder with 35mm & 28mm framelines ... yes, again ZI ... 😀 ... one month ago I held one old Leica screw mount body in hands ... and noticed that BESSA is really FINE camera 😉

* How about a body like the R3A but with TTL and a small flash to go with?
* A 90mm f/2.0 lens to go with the R3x's excellent 1:1 viewfinder.

If we're talking extreme high speed, why stop at 0.9? Seriously.

Produce a limited-edition Kubricklicious f/0.7 50mm at CV prices.

OK. . . . So it's huge (for RF lenses) and difficult to focus precisely. It isn't cheap. (It's within the realm of reason, though, because it's a CV.)

But how can you argue with f/0.7 *if* you're worried about bokeh, maddeningly huge/violent OOF areas, and visible darkness? <Drool.> 😀
 
I can't believe this has only been mentioned twice on this thread, but if there IS a new bessa camera of any kind, PLEAAAAAAAAASE put the STRAP LUGS on the SIDES of the camera.

Repeat, ****strap lugs***, or at least even ONE of the lugs on the side of the camera.....

Yes I know a side-grip fixes it... trigger winder... a big heavy lens... homemade weight and chain, duct tape strap wrapping fixes are possible... BUT

for the future Cosina, I don't think there is anyone on this forum who would NOT favor this.

I shoot with an R2a and I would say it's almost a perfect camera for all my rangefinder needs. Call me easy to please, but the lugs are the only way I can see the R series improved. 🙂 (things like longer baselength or brighter finder seem like they would just call for a total redesign aka big bucks... And the R series is priced just right for what you get. )

Anyway, in case I haven't mentioned it yet, STRAP LUGS, PRETTY PLEASE, TO THE SIDES!!!!
 
I would definitely pay US$800 for a LTM 50mm f1.2, especially if they threw in an LTM > M-mount adapter.

It makes more sense to make it in LTM...bigger market = more sales. Mr. K. is clearly a shrewd businessman.

Besides, isn't it less expensive to manufacture a thread mount than a bayonet mount?

Since there are so many eyeglass users and so few diopter correction lenses, why not incorporate a diopter correction eyepiece into the existing r3 and r4 series, which already have excellent eyepieces? It will save the eyesight of a lot of nearsighted and farsighted people and give us a chance to focus on our picture and not squint (is Leica listening?).
 
I saw a suggestion for a 75mm f/1.4, but not sure if anyone suggested a 75mm f/2 aspherical. Smaller and lighter, it would be better for travel, hiking, etc.; and yet be faster and sharper than the current 75/2.5.
 
I would like to see a scaled-down Bessa R3a for the streets; the exact same size as a Leica II. Wouldn't mind going to scale-focusing.
Oh the wonders of miniaturization 🙂
