What new Voigtlander RF or SLR product would you like to see?

+10...this was the one really annoying aspect of using the R3A.

There really needs to be a better meter readout on the R2A/R3A. It's almost useless in sunlight. I end up having to put my finger in front of the bottom of the VF to see what the reading is.

Ideally, the readout LEDs would be on a black bar at the bottom of the viewfinder so that they could be seen in any light. A needle would be nice too, but might be too hard to see in the dark.

As for lenses:
An affordable and small 28/2 in M-mount. Barring that, a 28/2.5 or 2.8.
A 75/2 for under $400.

I don't expect a bright lens f/5.6 is OK if it does its job correctly !

Ditto the 21mm f/2. I am super envious of the OM 21mm f/2.

The Leica 21mm f/1.4 is too big and too expensive. The ZM and Leica 21mm 2.8s are too slow, though that is probably the price you pay for their optical excellence.

If Voigtlander could make a 21mm f/2 lens with a similar form factor to the Leica 21 ASPH 2.8 it would melt my face off! I love the Ultron 28 f/2 and a wide/fast companion for it would be heaven.

Price? Wouldn't think twice at $1,500 or less as long as it doesn't distort any more than the Nokton 35mm 1.4.

I have a Hassey SWC and CV made a great viewfinder for the 21mm equivalent lens. Well, my request is that they make a viewfinder that is a stand alone rangefinder. They would have to fix a gear to the focus ring on the lens and have that gear connect to the viewfinder. Then I could use something besides zone focusing on my SWC!! I would be in heaven! Voigtlander is the only company making 21mm viewfinders (in the R4 series) so only they could do this. Hey a guy can dream right?? Or maybe make one myself if wanted to destroy my R4M...

Next on the list (more reasonable). More models in the Bessa Lineup but with fewer framelines. I love my R4M because I love wide angle and my 21mm Zeiss is great on it. But I don't think I will be putting a 35mm lens on it... instead I will just get another body (R2 or R2M) and put a 35mm on it. So if they could make a body with just 35mm framelines and make it cheaper then I would do that. Have one body for each focal length (or the most popular) - 21mm, 35mm, 50mm and 90mm. If that would make it cheaper to produce (probable) then I would prefer to buy that.

Also make some stuff in different colors... chrome, olive, grey, white.

Use leather on some of your bodies! Sell some editions where leather is an option instead of rubber.

Lastly - Something I don't care for you to make is a digital. Keep on with film. When the huge electromagnetic pulse from the sky comes down and renders all those digital cameras useless I will be happily snapping away with my R4M.

I think the line of products by voigtlander is pretty complete, nice RF´s and nice priced fast lenses.
A large amoount of accesories to match verey need.....

Nevertheless, voigtlander ,ay improve a little bit their RF´s or lenses but commecially i thinkmthis will not give any advantage, perhaps some pint examples or chromed ones..etc...

I would say VC may have a great deal of innovation making a travel lens like a trielmar or a dual hexanon...i need a bi or tri focal lenght lens....that should be at least 2.8 all over the range.....would be nice to have a 24-35-50 lens or even 21-40 vario skopar....

Also you statesd the digital bessa is not close, but it should be close...digital is a fact for a long term and VC cannot be appart from that....

perhasp some hi end scanners or even a mirrorless camera would be great as well, mayber with a x1.3 crop factor to step ahead from their competitors!!

OK, everyone seems to want a digital Bessa, but that is probably not close.

Besides the Digital Bessa, what NEW Voigtlander rangefinder or SLR lens would you like to see?

Cosina IS watching.

My desires are somewhat obvious but easy to achieve:

- Re-issue the Color-Skopar 28mm f/3.5 with M-bayonet mount.
- Re-issue the Color-Skopar 50mm f/2.5 with M-bayonet mount.
- Re-issue the Heliar 75mm f/2.5 with M-bayonet mount
- Re-issue the Nokton 50mm f/1.5 ASPH with M-bayonet mount

Don't change the optics at all ... I love the rendering qualities, size and weight of these lenses just as they are. To me it's a darn shame that they've discontinued them. Having to buy an adapter increases the cost and adds another thing to juggle.

Beyond that, incorporate Leica M six-bit coding into the current lens line.

Another thought: bring the Micro-FourThirds ultra speed 17.5mm f/0.95 out in M-bayonet mount for use with NEX+adapter and Ricoh GXR M-mount, presuming that it has enough coverage for APS-C format. It would be an interesting specialist lens to use on Leica M8 and M9 even if it didn't cover the entire format.

For the lens line, only a faster 25mm lens, like an 25mm F/2(or 2.5) Ultron. Perfect for photojournalism, and the perfect lens for the R4M.

And again, if digital, could be a APS-C, and dedicated lenses(small image circles), such 14mm f/4, 18mm f/2(.8), 23mm f/2(.5). With adequate viewfinder magnification, of course.
