what p & s do you have?

For flexibility and when there are no space/weight concerns, I really prefer the Olympus IS-3. When things are tight, a Pentax QD170 IQ.

I have a G5 too though it hasn't had a lot of use. Considering taking it along with my film camera when I go to the US in 3 weeks time, if only to keep processing costs down a little. Find it a little slow to use sometimes. Like the swivel screen though.
Can't comment on the Lumix myself but someone I spoke to had been very impressed by it. Sorry I can't be ore specific. Digicams I find in general to be a PITA but they have their uses I suppose.

Paul

whats a "pita" ? that a kinda food wrap??? :bang:

Pita is one of those internet acronyms that are supposed to save time. Personally I think it's more of a pain in the ass to type PITA than to type "pain in the ass"
hope this made you LOL.

My carry everywhere camera is a Ricoh GR1v. I bought one for my dad aswell, and I got an Olympus Epic for my mom. Both are excellent, and the Olympus is amazing value.

Vivitar Big view 35, Pentax IQ Zoom 90 and just aqcuired a Canon Sure Shot 76 Zoom and a Sure Shot Supreme

Canon ELPH Jr, cute little APS camera with retractible 26mm f/2.8 lens. Been shooting Kodak BW400CN in it...

I went to the thrift store last week and found a Canon Sureshot for 66¢. I thought that for 66¢ it couldn't work, but it had a nice strap that I could use on one of my Canonets. I stuck a couple of batteries in it and everything seemed to work. I developed my first roll through it yesterday and was amazed. Every shot perfectly exposed and perfectly in focus. The best damn 66¢ I ever spent.
Long story short, My "new" point and shoot is a 25 year old auto-everything Canon Sureshot that I got for 66¢.

I have 2, Contax T3 and Leica MiniLux Zoom. Although I use Canon 20D most of times. It is fun to play with those film P&S cameras. They are all nicely built! :D

I'm not sure how many models they've got for a sure shot(mine needs one lithium battery), but i bought one 5 years ago for 150 canadian dollars and it was worth every cent!

i´ve got a few p&s. the classic Ricoh Gr1v and then of course my Oly 35rc and my Oly trip 35. most of the time it I tend to use my G2 with a 35mm as a p&s. the 35rc with a tri-x makes me wanna get a tweed jacket and be 25 years older and i´m lovin it... :)

Bootsy,

I'll gladly give you 25 of my years. Maybe I can get back to surfing without all the
aches and pains...

Oh yeah, P&S: Fuji 2.8 zoom (24-50); Fuji DL Super Mini.

Wish I could afford a T2, or TVS, or Minolta TC-1

I used to carry a Canon Sureshot, the original one. great little camera.

Nowadays my 'take everywhere' camera is a Leica Minilux in a pouch case on my belt. It goes everywhere with me: supermarket, bar, taking the car for new tyres...

Stylus Epic. Just carried it out into a snow storm this morning -- something I don't care to do with my more expensive cams. It's the best little weather-resistant pocket cam I've owned.

The other P&S cam in the family is my wife's Pentax Zoom-90. She gets some great shots with that cam and it's been 'old reliable' for years.

Well, I have been garage sale shopping and now have a few more
Canon Shure shot zoom 76 8.00
Pentax zoom 60X 5.00
Canon AF35ML with the 40mm f1.9 10.00
I am anxious to try the AF35ML
The others I keep around to give as little gifts to family members. I don't know how many Canon P&S's I've given away
