What RF lens will CV release next?

Just for fun...what RF lens do you think CV is most likely to release next?

It seems that Cosina is only releasing new M-mount lenses (not LTM anymore) and doesn't want overlap with the Zeiss ZM line. The 15, 21, and 25 have been remade in M-mount with the same optics. The 28/2 was redesigned after the 28/1.9 LTM was discontinued. CV already has a range of 35s, and 40 is close enough that it might not be worth it to expand there. I get the feeling that there's not much sales volume in 75s, 90s, and 12s.

My guess: M-mount 50/1.4 aspherical! 😀 Redesign the 50/1.5 to be a little faster and closer focusing down to 0.7m. Better build quality goes without saying, and a 46mm filter thread would be nice. Make them all black and do a limited run of chrome, like the 35/1.2.

I could see a 50/1.2 happening, but like the 35/1.4, a 50/1.4 is going to have more widespread appeal compared to a faster, heavier, bulkier, more expensive lens. A 21/2, 25/2, or 28/1.4 would be pretty cool, too.

I'm not sure how you could improve on the 50/1.5 without making a very much more expensive lens. Does Cosina really want to make more expensive lenses?

They have established a unique perspective on producing unusual lenses hitherto thought defunct so my guess is a Thambar style soft portrait lens.

CV has got to learn how to make fast lenses to be wider on the diameter and not longer so that it protrudes so greatly on the rf.
I don't see as much complaints on the Canon 0.95 as i do on the CV 35 1.2 . Sure, it's the general opinion that the lens (0.95) is a mammoth, but most of us actually LIKE it that way. As compared to a long-ish lens..

But of course, it would be really interesting to see more f1.2 or faster lenses. Most RF shooters are bokeh junkies anyway. 😀
I do hope to see faster lenses on their 50mm lineup. Considering they managed to create the fastest 35, a 50 should be an easy task!

I'd like to see a fast 24 or 25mm ... I mean f2 or faster preferably. (24mm Summilux) It could even be at the top end of their pricing range by quite a margin but not so expensive that you have to sell one of your kidneys.

Leica owners don't need kidneys ... their blood is so pure it needs no filtering!

I think they will re-release the 28 Skopar in M mount.
It certainly would be cool if they would put out a dual or tri-lens.
This thread seems to be heading in the direction of "what would you most want to see?" rather than "what will they release next?"

I know what I would like to see, but I
really would like to hear from Tom A
as to what he thinks will likely be the
next new rf lens ?

i dunno. f3.5 always seemed slow for a 28mm. maybe they'll bump it up to f2.8 or 2.5?

I don't know what it will be, but I would be willing to bet ten rolls of Tri-x that it will be of a focal length that either requires or would hugely benefit from an external viewfinder. My bet would be a 10mm lens. Once the economy rebounds, I wouldn't be surprised to see them take a swing at building a lens with an f/0.9 aperture. Voigtlander seems to be carving its niche in three main ways, beyond making inexpensive lenses: building the fastest lenses at a given focal length, building the most extreme wide angle lenses, and building lenses that encourage people to purchase external finders. I would love to see them branch out in to making the smallest lenses at any given focal length, but that is more of a personal hope/pipe dream.
