Just for fun...what RF lens do you think CV is most likely to release next?
It seems that Cosina is only releasing new M-mount lenses (not LTM anymore) and doesn't want overlap with the Zeiss ZM line. The 15, 21, and 25 have been remade in M-mount with the same optics. The 28/2 was redesigned after the 28/1.9 LTM was discontinued. CV already has a range of 35s, and 40 is close enough that it might not be worth it to expand there. I get the feeling that there's not much sales volume in 75s, 90s, and 12s.
My guess: M-mount 50/1.4 aspherical! 😀 Redesign the 50/1.5 to be a little faster and closer focusing down to 0.7m. Better build quality goes without saying, and a 46mm filter thread would be nice. Make them all black and do a limited run of chrome, like the 35/1.2.
I could see a 50/1.2 happening, but like the 35/1.4, a 50/1.4 is going to have more widespread appeal compared to a faster, heavier, bulkier, more expensive lens. A 21/2, 25/2, or 28/1.4 would be pretty cool, too.
