after playing about with my 3.5cm 3.5 Elmar l feel a yellow filter may improve things slightly, what size filter should l be looking for. Thanks for any help in advance

A36 Clamp-on works fine (though they'll have to come off if you want to change the aperture.
I recall the 19mm screw-in filters work as well. (same as for the Argus C3, Walz made a set for them)

thanks for the help/reply my elmar now has a A36 yellow filter and FOOKH hood sitting on the front

I remember I had some serious vignetting when I mounted a A36 yellow filter and a FIKUS hood on a 3.5cm f/3.5 Elmar. But the FOOKH is a little shallower, so you might not have that problem.
