I don't know what's wierd about it. It's just another document copying camera. Hundreds got off the ground and flew well - around most large libraries.

These are not that rare, they appear regularly at camera fairs here, also a chinese made copy. They are in Princelles guide to SU cameras and were still being made in 1985. The KGB possibly did use them, but so did colleges and schools etc.
