What tools to use to open a lens?

Hi all,

I recently bought a Leitz LTM lens with some haze. I've been meaning to open it to clean it but I found that none of my screwdrivers (precision philips) can even get the screws moving. Are there any specific tools that these lenses need?

Same concept as a rusty car in the midwest: if a screw seems stuck, try using a tiny bit of penetrating oil to free it from its corrosion. And I do mean a tiny bit, like the size of the head of the screw or less. Let it penetrate for 24 hours. If that doesn't work, let a pro take care of it.

Try a soldering iron on the screw heads - they frequently were secured with varnish or thread locker.
